What's the most creative username you have seen?

I remember a guild called Two Maidens and Chalice. Can’t remember the game, but t’was funny.

Ran across a Hunter back in my WoW days named Bowjob. Had a good laugh.

Slimey Slime McSlimington, from a page of this sources back in the old Internet. For additional reference "twink" used to refer to a tabletop RPG munchkin or power gamer; not the, uh, not the other thing.

As far as I've seen it's the oldest example of the "namey mcname" joke out there.

Back when I was playing World of Tanks, there were plenty of quite interesting nicknames. Unfortunately, most I remember were in my non-english language, but there were some international like Hairy Spotter, IPutTheFunInFuneral or 10InchInColdWater.

To this day, I remember from probably twenty years ago or more seeing something on SomethingAwful that included the name “HPHovercraft” and it’s just the greatest. I’ll never forget it.

She was an extremely active user here, despite being a busy Academy Award nominated actress. I assume she’s busy filming her next movie, or maybe in talks to do Barbie 2.
Such a shame because she was actively involved in the Fediverse. We need more Academy Award nominated character actors and actresses to join. Then this place would really take off.

I think the first person to use an obfuscated name like lIiḷ|ḷiIl was pretty clever.

This has me really curious about the most obfuscated, ambiguous/difficult/problematic possible usernames both for security/privacy and interesting anomalies in general.
Feel like one could make a whole book on this -- please send any resources that could shed insight if possible
- I wonder if you can break copy-paste by mixing in similar looking characters from a right-to-left language.

Most names I see here are just references or trying to be ultra edgy and offensive (SatansMaggotyCumFart for example). They might be memorable, but I wouldn't say they are creative.

Not many people have puns or even well done portmanteaus for usernames. 😔

Mine's not clever, just an NPC I made for an old GURPS game I ran ages ago that I've since used as my handle online. Frustratingly there's some guy in Italy who claimed it as their Steam name though so that's the one place I couldn't use it lol
- FYI: your display name on steam doesn't have to be your login name and it doesn't need to be unique (but if you join a game with someone using the same name, whoever joins last will have a number appended to the end of it). You can change it whenever you want from the edit profile page.
I have seen yours the most. It's not the most creative but it's definitely the most eye catching from all big Lemmy posters.
