  • I'm the freak that uses light mode. But after all these comments, I'm going to give dark mode another go. I've never had it on for more than 5 minutes once to decide I didn't like it.

  • I was on one of these performance plans at my last job. What I learned from my experience - once you are on a plan, there's rarely any coming back. It's a road to the end, how quickly that happens is up to you. The microscope is on you and they will find any fault to make you want to leave. I was also not busy for a lot of my plan period, because the work was going to other people instead of me, to increase the feeling of worthlessness (although I was happy to get paid to do very little). My mental health and confidence in my work took an absolute battering. I'm glad you've decided to move on.

  • Iโ€™ve tried the Southbank store. Itโ€™s good, but pretty expensive for fast food. Double burger was huge, and the chips are really good.

  • The sunshine! Went for a walk to the shops just now and it was lovely. A far cry from yesterday's ice wind.

  • I've got on my list to get a new mental health care plan as well, it's time to invest in my MH again as I've felt myself slipping a bit lately. This post has motivated me to make a booking.

The cost for appointments is ridiculous even after the rebate. I called last week to find out the updated prices of the place I used to go for therapy, and they've hiked so much just in the 18 months since I last went.

  • Yeah itโ€™s body horror, a few scenes had me squirming in my seat but overall I really enjoyed it.

  • Just got back from seeing The Substance. Great movie but holy crap it was full on with the gore.

  • No means yes or possibly yes to some people, no matter how clear you are.

  • First night in a long time that Iโ€™ve had the door and some windows open at night to cool down the house a bit.

  • Just donโ€™t start the bike at 6am like my Harley neighbour and youโ€™re all sweet.

  • So good, and definitely get up there next time! Your talents have been kept to us for too long haha.

  • $165 per month, so just over $30 per day. It's a pretty nice space, have access to a dedicated sit/stand desk on the days I visit, kitchen facilities, and they do networking and social events too.

  • On my way to first day working from a co-working space. Got a membership for 5 days a month. Packed my bfast / lunch / snacks, and got dressed in something other than slum WFH clothes. Felt nice, Iโ€™m excited for this change up in my routine. Hope itโ€™s worth the $$.

  • Iโ€™ve been lucky so far, then the warm windy Saturday past got me going for the season. And it triggers my asthma too, so thatโ€™s fun.

  • Back neighboursโ€™ party has been going since before the GF started. Theyโ€™ve descended into drunken scream singing, add some screaming kids to the mix, itโ€™s so loud. Got my massive speaker going to drown them out.

I need to throw my own loud revenge party.

  • Steak sandwich and chips for lunch. About to go get some fresh bread for the sandwich. Beers, some snacks if I feel peckish later.

  • My neighbour started his Harley at 6am this morning. Itโ€™s like starting a chainsaw at that time - you donโ€™t do it. Took me a while to fall back asleep and now Iโ€™m tired and grumpy. Iโ€™m up and sitting in the sun to get this bad mood out of me.

  • It's local council voting season and I'm getting over seeing signs of the same three people plastered all over my hood. In front of houses, shop windows, street corners, you name it. Does this really get you votes?! I see their faces and I get angry, not wish to vote for them.
