  • It's awesome that so many people are using things like the services you mention, but even in the most basic old-school way that I dl things to watch I find it monumentally better than trying to deal with Netflix or whatever other service. I can have the full file, no buffering or compression, with all the settings of VLC no matter what the media is. And with my internet speed I can download things more quickly than I can even get snacks ready.

  • This is the communist worker propaganda poster of the future

  • I think it's combining it a bit with Squall Leonhart from FFVIII

  • The b&w image captures a mood so well, I'm saving this lol

  • People that really enjoy being unemployed might have only had jobs that didn't feel fulfilling or were degrading, annoying or whatever. I used to feel great without work, between jobs because I worked shitty places. Now I have a job doing more useful work with a better environment and it feels nice to be there.

I agree with the depression also, it's easy for me to procrastinate and be unproductive and live more slovenly, but when I am working more it does force me into a bit better of a routine.

  • How much more likely are you to die in a car accident in a bus or train versus a car? How many times have you taken public transit that you have such a problem with the issues you mentioned?

  • And now the people who did agree to evacuate are beginning to return to the north because the south is being bombed as well.

  • They are mowing them down en masse though. The reason more haven't been killed is because they have shelters and tunnels to protect from the strikes. They have leveled whole villages, apartment towers holding hundreds of people, and struck routes specifically designated by the IDF as safe avenues for people to escape. The number killed is likely much higher than the reports we have seen, like after an earthquake or other disasters there are hundreds of people labeled 'missing' until they are more certain they are deceased.

  • It's kind of baffling how we accept this as pretty much the standard for major releases these days. Why would we be okay buying anything else like this? If I bought a pair of shoes and they had issues that made them unwearable until I got them repaired I would be irritated as fuck, and obviously this would be unacceptable for a store to sell them like that.

  • No bikes??? I hadn't heard that, one of the most satisfying things about playing C:S1 to me was making great bike routes and useful public transit, without bikes I really don't feel a drive to play this one now honestly hah. Maybe they are going the Sims route where all the useful basic things they added in the previous edition will be released over time as DLC, ffs.

  • But they deliberately are killing innocent people, no nation claims to have the right to do that. The Israeli military is capable of precise strikes correct? So why did they strike the route they designated as a safe evac for people in Gaza? They killed over 70 people in a single airstrike on a road that Israeli forces designated as a safe route. Even if Hamas needs to be destroyed, why is it okay to destroy an apartment block killing hundreds of people? Israel taps the phones of all Palestinians, they monitor all roads, they control all borders aside from Egypt's, how is the only way to defeat Hamas by mass slaughter?

  • My mom is dead, but she would be very proud of me attempting to defend the dignity of innocent murdered children and trying to prevent more of them from being murdered. So if I were to say they are terrorists and I do support them, what would you say? I am happy to defend the rights of Palestinian people against hatred spread by you. My mom supported Palestine.

  • Why do you enjoy being an asshole? I've had a rough day.

  • I'm not trying to fucking argue I'm just saying my thoughts, can you stop downvoting me lol. I was trying to share my perspective, not convince you ffs.

  • That's you though, that doesn't translate for everyone so I think it's a weird way to argue about how good something is. If someone argues that a game is good because people spend so many hours on it, it tells me nothing at all about the quality of the game other than you don't get so irritated you quit immediately. If you spent 100 hours on a game and 60 on another, is the 100 hour game automatically better?

  • Whatever you say buddy, if genocide is restraint then Israel is a fucking saint.

  • Why is the time spent playing a game always used as a marker of how good it is? I can spend 100 hours doing something I hate and feel worse for having done it. I know that is my fault, but still, I can play a good game for five hours and feel like it was worth ten times the price, versus a bad game I may have spent 20 hours playing and regret, waiting for it to get better. Does everyone measure the quality of something based on how much time it took out of their life?

  • Your video shows Gaza with lights at night, but when this bombing occurred there was no power around the hospital. IDF has now stated that they told the hospital to evacuate.
