  • Have you considered that they have tunnels and shelters under these buildings because they have been bombed by the IDF for decades? Have you seen even a single shred of verification of the military nature of these targets, like munitions, weapons or anything of the sort?

  • You know Palestine isn't some hidden shadowy back woods no one can see? There are aids groups there, Doctors Without Borders, journalists, other experts. They don't have a magical authoritarian lock on information. You can see the bodies.

  • People see will see these numbers and still argue "they are showing restraint, if Israel was really evil they would just carpet bomb them all." Like what the fuck is this then?

  • When people saying 'mental illness doesn't make you racist', it makes me think what does make a person racist? Paranoia, anxiety, delusion, trauma, are tied to it often. I kind of think racism could be seen as a mental illness in itself.

  • Bipolar disorder treatment is complex, often medication will act differently in different mental states. You might be low energy and depressive, so they prescribe a medication that might have a stimulating effect, then it pushes you into a manic state and you need something less energizing. It's very common for people with bipolar to decide to stop taking their medication.

  • And if you dare get together with other people that are forced onto the street and make a camp together somewhere isolated, the government tears it down and evicts you and destroys your things. Thank god for our freedom.

  • In the US it baffles us as well. Though most Americans do actually want universal healthcare, anytime it comes up as an issue in the national conversation there is such massive propaganda against it, articles talking about things like 'death panels', hypothetical committees under more socialized healthcare systems that will decide who lives and dies, or that you'd have to wait hours at the ER. Ridiculous things like that. It's seen as a 'left' issue, if you are on the right or conservative in the US you won't be as likely to support universal healthcare, which does align with one right-wing view of 'poor people should die more'.

  • I'm just laughing at the absurdity of someone calling poor people who can't afford their medical bills "fucking crooks" but that actually is a position I wouldn't surprised to see these days.

  • I understand the point you are trying to make, but I'm not sure what you are reading into? The question was "how do poor people in the states..." I am a poor person in the states, if I was to answer I would probably say they, maybe 'we' if I was feeling like sharing. And it's true, many medical bills throughout my childhood that we couldn't afford just went unpaid, with debt on my parents credit.

  • I don't have a dishwasher and I don't have time to watch this video about dishwashers right now, but I am really curious, why is the powder better than gel?

  • Am I the only one who frequently thinks of Tracy Morgan saying "It was all worth it to see them boobies" as the host of some weird reality horror show years ago when I see the word boobies?

  • I saw this post and was all "yeah, where the hell is the dish window!" But then reading your comment, all these points are pretty obvious and make total sense ahah.

  • Proper pizza is greasy as fuck, if you haven't had pizza dripping with grease I am worried for your range of pizza experiences.

  • The real conclusion they are pushing is "blame the rising costs on your friends that download the stuff you pay for." For a propaganda piece, that's not a bad angle to go for.

  • I see piracy as a great benevolence on the internet. There is one person who I've gotten dozens of Jeopardy episodes from, no one else really uploads them much. They are great quality, with subtitles, posted day of release sometimes. What does the poster get from this in return?

  • I wonder how many Youtube users today ever used it when it used quicktime player, you could actually pause and buffer the entire video, it wouldn't ever jump into an ad, it was the glory days. Aside from the fact it took a few minutes to load at times ahah.

  • When need to anthropomorphize the shit these companies do more, your example is great. People have 'brand loyalty', but if their favorite brand was an average person in their life 99% would be a massive asshole that kicks sand in people's eyes.

  • I wonder how many people have an ad tolerance like me. Those ads are fine for most people but I get so annoyed by even that. The entire concept upsets me. I don't want to be told what I'm supposed to want, ever, by some corporation unless I ask them.

  • These major corps are pulling some absolute bullshit all the time with this kind of stuff. People are frustrated with the rich in general, but I think they don't even comprehend the amount of fuckery that is pulled on us all.

One example, I have an android phone from 2017 that still works great. Luckily the company that made it doesn't go hard on planned obsolescence seemingly, but I was curious about replacing it, and new comparable phones are more expensive than mine was, have more bloatware preloaded, and lower specs to top it off. To be fair though they do have incredible new cameras.

  • When someone shares an opinion online, it's like people think it's supposed to be an argument to win and you are wrong, it's annoying as shit. I get irritated seeing comments like your first one get downvoted lol.
