Complaining about the rich does not mean people that pay 35k for a car. This is exactly the type of attitude that keeps us proletarians stuck in the mud. A person that makes 100k a year and a person that makes zero a year are in the same class. There are the workers, and the rich capitalists. A doctor or lawyer who can buy a nice car is not 'the rich'.
You are clearly here solely to defend the IDF, this is a wasted effort in this space. Why do you want to put so much effort into excusing a murderous apartheid state?
You can read the words of the event, but like you said watching their behavior says everything. It's like US police claiming they feared for their life. They casually stand there, like any other day at work, and attempt to murder a young girl, and probably joked about it after.
I wouldn't doubt people driving EVs may even have less sustainable lifestyles in general because of their absolved guilt from driving the EV. Not that the average driver matters much when considering cargo and air traffic.
I understand not everyone can shift their diet, but I am curious, if you know it is unsustainable, why do you partake in the industry? Or is your food acquired more sustainably? I'm not trying to lay any sort of judgement or whatever, I am genuinely curious. A lot of people I know that eat meat that are aware of the issues with the industry will at least avoid eating meat at times.
To back that up I've seen a few videos of IDF shooting with suppressors, on videos it can sound like a click, from the sound of this video though I'm not sure it's even suppressed.
You are correct, magical thinking is a natural part of the human psyche. But, unless we have some sort of disorder, we can practice to recognize it and work with our more logic based mind when making decisions, instead of basing our decisions on emotion or superstition.
With the US carrier group in the area I'd be pretty hesitant to interfere if I was Egypt or anyone else really. At least in any direct way that could be retaliated against militarily, right now.
We might be helpless to stop it this second, but there are actions we can take to slow the support for this down and stop it in the future hopefully. Even little things can help, we are owned and overpowered by nation-gangs but they are always outnumbered by their pawns.
The video of the car being shot by the tank is a clear example of their actions. If anyone hasn't seen it, there was a tank parked on a road sort of hidden from sight, in a 'safe area' in central Gaza, outside of the evacuation zone. A car didn't see it at first, noticed and turned around still a bit away from the tank, as it begins to drive away the tank fires on them and kills them. If you look at the strikes going on now this is what it is, it isn't a 'Hamas rocket position' or other BS, there hasn't been a shred of verifiable evidence for any target that it was a legitimate military target.
Well that's the wikipedia definition, I think it is really common for the relationships to be of students, maybe ambiguously aged or in college in the plot but appearing young.
