I had an okay PC earlier than a lot of people in my age bracket, me and siblings all do use computers in our work now lol, so if they said that to my dad in the 90s they wouldn't be wrong
The culture of the west is often referred to as 'Judeo-Christian', they aren't saying jews run the US but referring to the common origin of Judaism and Christianity, though the term is seen as problematic
Reading that I almost had a thought like it must have been a mix-up or something, but no, US police will murder people with less thought, so that type of fuckery is completely expected.
Love bikeindex, I actually got my stolen bike back thanks to that site. It was literally two years later but still, the police wouldn't have even made a report probably in the city I was at, with bike theft so ubiquitous.
What's even the point of your comment, I'm not trying to be rude it just seems unhelpful and the attitude is prevalent. Sure, if people adjust their habits they could make due, but the problem is the fucking robbery of all working people so it's just wasting time bickering with points like this.
For a better response to writing, an exercise an instructor had my class do was to look at a list of example sentences and remove every word that wasn't essential. I don't think your writing is so difficult to interpret but a more plain style can be helpful for some. Most people aren't trying to 'add it up' in conversation like it's math, it should be quick and intuitive. The way we read our own writing is different than how others will emphasize or pace it which can cause misinterpretation as well.
I feel like I see a lot of arguments online that are really just people misinterpreting each other repeatedly.
I wouldn't say they are too dumb to realize this necessarily, people are just misled by endless propaganda or don't have the time and energy/skills to really contemplate things properly.
I could still see people trying to make it work for generations for some reason, many early colonists in the West died before stable states could be founded.
This led me to another article, apparently people are using excess CPU power to research Minecraft related phenomenon such as the tallest cactus. When they said the world will end not with a bang but a whimper, this is some of the whimpering.
This poster seems to just be saying if you've had cheap regular cheese you are amazed when you have legit authentic cheeses like these. A lot of the cheese people buy, in the US at least, is just some basic shit often called 'cheddar' or whatever but not truly authentic cheddar or mozzarella.
I've had a few friendships with this tension, some became relationships, in my experience some issues can be changing behaviors because I don't want them to think I'm trying to get with them, like fewer compliments when I would others, or there can be a subtle sort of jealousy if they are interested in someone else. Or vice-versa, I might think things they do are signs of attraction and not friendship and so feel mixed about reciprocating unless I want to pursue a relationship.
