  • Technically Patrick is still correct. There are way more younger generations doing more fucked up shit than us. Yeah, we had fucked up shit, but there was fewer of us so the volume of fucked up shit is significantly lower ๐Ÿ˜ค

He didn't say we didn't have any just that we had less.

  • They're working on that, too. It went from preproduction to full development about 2 years ago. It is likely to be released next year, according to some sources that were also completely accurate about the Oblivion remake rumors.

  • Unless the definition has changed over the years, a shitpost is just something that took little to no effort. All genAI posts are therefore shitposts.

  • Easy: Don't scan QR codes. Manually enter the URL yourself. I haven't seen any QR codes advertised anywhere that don't also include the URL somewhere on the flyer, commercial, menu, etc.

  • I would argue that Fallout 3 is a good game, but it is not a good Fallout game. It is fun to play, and has all the other hallmarks of a good Bethesda game, but the vibe is wrong. It feels like something ripping off Fallout (because, it kinda is?) and misses the beats of the originals. It's more than likely just cultural differences between the developers. Black Isle was Californian, Bethesda is somewhere on the East coast. And 4 managed to bring that OG vibe to the series, even if it absolutely fucking sucks as an RPG (great FPS tho).

That said, the Oblivion remake showed me that just updating the graphics but keeping the original jank was not a good thing. Fallout 3 now would not hold up the same way it did back in 2008.

  • I wouldn't really say it's the devs for most of the stuff I see that has me questioning if whoever was in charge ever played a video game before. Stupidly simply QOL things that end up being absent in a game that is ripping off another game, likely only absent because the dev team didn't have time to work on those elements.

However, games that constantly take control away from the player like every 2-5 minutes, I have to question the designer themselves. I wanted to play a game and these kinds of games end up getting watched like a movie with how often you don't have any control over what's happening. And I don't mean games like Detroit Become Human or even The Quarry (which is 100โ„… an interactive movie), I mean shit like Dragon's Dogma 2 or a lot of the newest Nintendo first party titles. It takes away controk of your character for some of the stupidest shit; like high fiving your team mates without any input from the player.

  • "So... umm... then what is Ghislaine Maxwell in prison for?"

She was an accessory to his crimes. And if she had any more information to possibly share, she'd have "killed herself," too.

  • Synthesized music is not AI generated. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Are you also going to to claim that Bach used AI to create his music because he did so mathematically?

  • I'm pretty sure seeing a sunset behind a forest will also give you a kind of emotion as well. Who is the artist there?

I did not say it gives me emotions. I am a super empath; I can feel the emotion put into the work from the artist. AI created shit completely lacks anything to empathize with. There is no soul to feel. The promot given to the AI does not pass anything through into the generated creation.

  • I've always liked the style of chucks, but yeah. They fall apart faster than wet tissue paper.
