The same day is the time between your main sleeping moment.

Breakfast is the meal you have before lunch on the same day.

Lunch is the meal you have before dinner on the same day.

Dinner is the meal you have after lunch on the same day.

If you have only one meal a day its none of the above and just called having “food”.

I realize i did not need things to be this way and am smart enough to build and alternative.

Now i have a yt-dlp script downloaded the latest uploads from chosen channels straight to jellyfin and also a selfhosted invidious with custom tweaks for everything i dont want to spend storage space on.

Basicly i take 100% of what i liked and never have to visit the website directly again.

They are waging war on invidious, it breaks on occasion. Yt-dlp though, stable as a rock.

I may have heard a similar thing on a video that compared an elephant sized mouse with a mouse sized elephant.

Neither could survive because evolution designed their bodies for the relative pressure they exist in. This is also related to how fast their hearth beats go.

Human sized bugs could not exist for the same pressure reason also.

It does not need to be. “Whole web” being a certain way almost implies it all follows the same standards from which point the people who set and develop those standards become the centralised authority.

I like to think of the internet as simply a carrier of digital information. This can be any information. My vpn tunnel is just as much a part of the whole as a public website.

The way i envision a positive evolution is that more people get involved in running their own network, for themselves, their family, their neighbourhood, a global community they are a part of.

They can use the activitypub protocol, a selfmade protocol or any other they want. The only thing that matters is that the people who need and use the digital information can use it.

The public internet dominated by large players will still exist but it will be (and actually already is) a small portion of everything we use the web for.

Traffic with complete misinformed expectations is generally undesirable. There have been reports of places getting lots of negative reviews because of this.

Depending on how old your kids are and if you are not already playing, playing on a local server together is great family time and can provide situations for real bonding aswell as real world educational discussions.

“Bloat” the less system there is (while still working as a modern system) the better. If i need something i can install it myself.

I find that almost everything can be boiled down to just be a display of quantum mechanics which is why id place it as more fundamental.

I cant really say that about gravity/spacetime though. Maybe someday we do find that it also is but for now it seems to be distinct.

Though i still dont quite get this

the electromagnetic force itself doesn’t “arise” from quantum mechanics, and you can explain things like electromagnets and a lot of common electric circuits (until you need a transistor) quite well without considering quantum mechanics.

You seem to say if we can explain x without y then y cannot be fundamental to x.

But can electromagnetism at all emerge if the quantum mechanics dont exist to emerge things like magnetism and some of the behavior of electrons?

That refines the definition but does not show a difference. There are reports of starving gazans too scared to show up to food distribution.

Maybe i am wording it wrong. I did make the comment half joking but my current understanding of how magnetism really works, which my physics teacher was unable to answer has a chapter on wikipedia called Quantum-mechanical origin of magnetism

I have no degrees in this stuff though, i just think about them recreationally.

The carrier particle thing to describe a fundamental force is new to me, and honestly feels very counterintuitive to how i started to understand things.

Gravity is a fundamental force just like electromagnetism (supposedly)

Fundamental means it cannot be explained by being caused by something else.

But then they say gravity is an effect caused by spacetime curvature and electromagnetism is caused by quantum phenomena.

What is the cause for spacetime or quantummechanics? Idk but somehow they don't make it on the list of fundamental forces.
