  • I think the point the user was making is that, if it isn’t already distributed as a library, you can just fork it and deploy it as a library artifact to your company’s internal artifact repository. You shouldn’t be pulling an external project as a submodule, that’s just coupling yourself way way too tightly to external code. So you turn that code internal and into a library.

  • The article calls out hash functions and links to the relevant Wikipedia page, so I don’t think this is solely about cryptographic hash functions, though that seems to be what you were talking to the other user about.

  • The countless articles made with money by industries that don’t want to use recycled plastic cause it would buy into their bottom line? Yeah I’m gonna believe the one that actually showed the process and tests they did and are willing to make less money by reusing plastic.

Why would the quality degrading matter for cheap plastic shit coming from other industries? You don’t need your shampoo bottle to last longer, you don’t need your deodorant stick container to last longer. The only reason they wouldn’t use recycled plastic is because it’s going to cut into their profit.

  • Jim and Pam constantly pull pranks on Dwight that he has no fun in. It’s fun for the viewer, but they’re still terrible people. Daryl is also funny but mean as hell. If you’re putting always sunny and arrested development down there then yes, the office goes down there too. No clue why 30 rock is down in evil though.

  • This has to be the most braindead propaganda take I’ve ever heard. You think that supporting Ukraine is the opposite of supporting Palestine? They’re both countries being invaded against their will by terroristic governments. If you support Palestine you support Ukraine, full stop. If you think otherwise you are so brainwashed you literally can’t think for yourself.

  • This has to be one of the most propaganda ridden bullshit takes I’ve ever seen. You’re so brainwashed you think it’s appropriate for any country to be invading another. Fuck off.

  • Trash Panda isn’t an article, they’re a disc golf manufacturer that solely uses recycled plastic. They’ve tested with recycling the exact same plastic more than ten times. And I have no clue what you are talking about with scotch tape, it’s literally designed to be tearable, just like the Costco bag in the picture….

  • That’s just categorically false. Trash Panda Disc Golf does a video on just that myth. The problem with recycling has nothing to do with degradation. It has to do with economics. New plastic is cheap. Reusing plastic isn’t.

  • Cats get rid of mice just by existing. We had a mouse problem when we moved in. The cats never once killed a mouse. We no longer have mice (in the house). Mice are always outside so maybe your neighbor just doesn’t like that?

  • Your logic gets more and more obtuse. You want to go outside, but you want to avoid the sun, you want to do activities outside, but only in a two hour timespan (completely ignoring commuting and that many activities take longer than that). You talk about heat stroke like it’s happening to every single person who goes outside.

Not everyone lives like you. Im gonna use the only time it feels nice to go outside to go outside, instead of rotting in bed forever.

This comment makes even less sense. You want to be outside, but you don’t want sun, but you want to sleep when it’s 8 pm, but that’s the coolest time of the day if it’s not dst. Like seriously, none of your argument makes sense. And fyi, I spend the majority of my day outside. Even working from home, I’ll work in a hammock outside. But I’m also not the average person. The average person commutes to a location to work and then has to come back home, get ready for their activities and then go from there. All of your suggestions are completely at odds with that.

And fyi, shade exists. This is honestly one of the most troll conversations I’ve ever participated in, acting like the sun burns you the second you step outside and you want to be outside without the sun. If you want to be outside without the sun then go out when it’s dark. You can wake up at your normal 5am time and get a great amount of dark cool weather. And the rest of us can live normally.

  • Those averages have nothing to do with summer. In fact many of those locations don’t obey daylight saving time at all, so no, your point is just incorrect. I understand you are stating your opinion, but your opinion would affect the vast majority of the planet in a negative way. Having people drive to work in the dark is a much better outcome for the majority of the planet than having it get dark when the majority of the planet is doing activities unrelated to work.

Most people don’t sleep based on the sun, they sleep based on their work schedule. That’s why DST is superior, because work schedules will just move earlier to make sure that they’re capturing when people are first waking up, you’ll never get rid of that. What you can do is make it so that it’s light when people are performing after school activities, club sports, events, hanging out with friends, etc.

You can always use blackout curtains, so any argument about sleep is never going to be relevant to this conversation. What is relevant is work and play.
