That is exactly why the EU is going to war against ToS. There's just so much shit hidden in there. In a few years, every company dealing in the EU has to make their agreements so clear, that it can be seen in bullet form and be accepted on a individual level.

Kind of like how you setup a Windows or Mac PC. You need to Accept / Decline 7 different features. That's the future for ToS also.

My local mechanic can service 2 different car brands, so he can't service them all. And he services those two brands both on ICE and EV.

But he says that 95% of the things he fixes on traditional cars, is not even present in EVs. EVs just require fewer parts to work, therefore almost no parts that can break.

Nothing beats covinience. If it's easy, people will pay up. That means you are right, that if the communal traffic improves as you say, it would get alot more people using it.

But unfortunately, cars are just so, so convinient, it's almost impossible to beat, if you don't straight up outlaw them.

Also I heard that EVs are alot cheaper to maintain, due to rare malfunctions, because so few moving parts in the car.

It was even a big topic at my local mechanic because they didn't earn any money on EVs.

Sounds amazing for consumers.

They probably don't.

A surprisingly small amount of products need to malfunction before people get the idea that they all will.

Tell me how they could afford it as a giant multi billion dollar company.

I don't agree with the guy above, but what he's saying is, that he never commented on Musk's free speech. He's talking about free speech in general for the regular users on social media platforms.

And I have no idea where he's going with the Europe talk. Sounds like he never lived there, that's for sure.

You can't really say that.

In principle, a group of very few individuals can make a proposal in the EU, because it's democratic. It was down voted. By the EU.

It's nothing different than a bill introduced in every other country, that the majority think is bonkers.

How about you and the manufacturers sell them cheaper, and now here me out. Maybe then, and I know this is a crazy idea. But could we make it so that the already rich multi million dollar owners earned less?

I've read about Matrix alot here on Lemmy, but I still can't figure out how to get it.

How do I get Matrix, how do I create rooms and how do I bridge other chats into it (I've read you could do that)?

Is Matrix even close to be as good? I want to do the switch, but there's no way I convince any of my friends, if it's not at least a little better at something.
