  • I think people are forgetting that drones like these will also be made to protect. And I don't mean in a police kinda way.

    But if let's say Argentina deployed these against Brazil. Brazil will have a defending lineup. They would fight out war.

    Then everyone watching will see this makes no sense to let those robots fight it out. Both countries will produce more robots until yeah.. No more wires and metal I guess.

    Future = less real war, more cold war. Just like the A-bomb works today.

  • It has never been a technology problem.

    If society was build correct in a democracy, advances in all fields would always be for benefitting the people and the majority.

    This has been a problem ever since the industrial revolution and what caused the great depression.

    If technology advances to a stage where we only need 75% of the current work force, the answer is not to fire 25%. It is for everyone to benefit and work 25% less or get 25% more pay. (or 12,5% work less and 12,5% more pay. Our choice)

    That is a working democracy.

  • That's the thing with big mega corps. They could lower prices, make some products free, give more to app makers in this case - and it won't hurt a single person in their firm.

    But they won't. They just want a higher green number, that's so high it's not possible to spend in a lifetime.

  • Denmark here. You can't buy guns unless it's for hunting. That means only guns made for hunting are legal ofc.

    Result: much more safe to live here.

    Personally I think guns have no place in any society, unless it's for sport like hunting or shooting competitions.

  • I have tried this a few times actually but only on Windows 8 of all systems!

    I don't remember the problem, but it actually found the problem and fixed it all by itself!

    I remember I even liked Windows 8 after that because I thought this would finally be a turning point!

    It didn't.
