  • I've noticed this, too. Grown adults in their 30s and 40s just repeat things they've seen on the internet, word for word, as though they're providing a meaningful contribution to a conversation. It's so bizarre.

  • Light bulbs originally lasted basically forever, is my understanding. The wires were thick enough to not break with use, and also made of a more durable metal. Then they were made thinner and the metal used changed, so they'd wear out eventually and users would have to buy more.

  • Crazy that they're communicating something this important via email. Not that it's the only crazy thing about this scenario.

  • The only difficulty I find with Magic Earth is if you type in the address differently than it is in the system, it doesn't always find it. "Highway" vs "hwy", etc. But it's way better than OSM+, whose search is borderline unusable.

  • I plan on buying one when my current phone is no longer usable.

  • When I get to that screen, I just x out most of the time. It's usually not that important.

  • Why would they spend their own money to fix things if nothing needed fixing?

  • Okay, squid ink pizza dough sounds intriguing.

  • I love pineapple on both pizza and burgers. The flavor and bite quality is very appealing on a hot, meaty piece of food. Even better if the burger has soy sauce on it. The contrast brings out the best in both flavors.

  • One of my pet rats made a hole in my mattress foundation so he could climb inside. I imagine this is what he did in there.

  • My original point is that I don't think a phone with a physical keyboard appeals to only a niche group, based on its wild popularity when it was last available for purchase.
