I finally switched to Linux for my daily driver and gaming PC. It was easy.

Were you locked down? Unable to leave your house? Kept there by force of law?

Or do you not understand the word "lock" perhaps?

I more meant the choice to be an omnivore or vegetarian or vegan or carnivore. Most people don't question why they do what they do.

They work perfectly actually. You have a proper grasp of your situation. I do question your moral choice of putting flavor above killing, but you get the concept and have put the thought in.

That was my original point. The VAST majority of people never question their diet. You did. That's rare.

My own choice to be vegetarian has it's own moral issues, but my thought is that: if I have to sit in a box 10 hours and a day work to survive in capitalism, I won't expect less from farm animals.

Did you choose to eat meat? What's your logic? Which animals? Would you eat dog?

Do you believe in religion? Do you believe in any home remedies? Do you eat the same foods you grew up with?

It's a very rare person that questions literally everything and logically analyzes why they think what they think.

An ultimatum is you have to do x. A boundary is "I won't do x"

Some people will phase ultimatums as boundaries to manipulate, but this isn't that.

You're conflating morals with religion.

Yes but so what?

Humans benefit from society. You can't have society if people go around destroying that society. You make rules and enforce them to stop that destruction. Thats morality in a nutshell.

This has been going on so long that it's hard wired into most of us. For the psychopaths that don't have that hardwire, we have places to put them. I.e. prisons and boardrooms.

I think that a good chunk of the selfhosted community is "sole IT guy at a tiny company". This is great for that, since having to update desktop software in twenty places sucks.
