Agreed. Especially with the timing of the donation. I’m glad the money has finally been donated, but something is still sketchy.

It’s depressingly common for some folks to crap on things when they get too popular. As they say, haters gonna hate.

PC gamers already often have to wait for games to come to PC, so it’s no big thing to wait a little longer to get those games for cheaper. We’re already not getting it day one a lot of the time, so there’s no FOMO.

I want to play FF16, but since I’ve already gotta wait a year to get it, I’m fine waiting until it’s on sale. Same with Horizon Forbidden West. I’ve waited this long to be able to play the DLC (I have the game on PS4, but the dlc was PS5 only), I don’t mind waiting longer.

If he has to tell us he won’t, he 100% will.

I think the problem is that the two sites use different tags for spoilers. He’s tagged it properly for kbin, but it will show up on lemmy. Same way for when people use lemmy spoiler tags, folks on kbin see the spoiler.

But it’s a spoiler for the first game, and most likely anyone interested in Forbidden West already played Zero Dawn, so what’s the point of this?

They said they want to create a “positive modding community,” and nothing about a mod like that is positive. No one is obliged to host hate.

Not just LGBTQ content, but also things that race swap characters. It’s why they took down the mod that made Wyll white.

Iirc, that mod also screwed up in removing them and made it so you were always using they/them pronouns.

And nothing of value has been lost. Eff that mod.

Tapper had been fairly pro-Israel until now, from what I’ve seen, so I think he was only just starting to have a wake up.

Nexus Mods specifically has rules against these kinds of mods. It was removed for violating them. They have the right to make whatever rules they went about the content they host.
