  • You know… it’s never actually occurred to me to try, but it certainly should be. Various vendors sell concentrated cold brew and I doubt they are doing it with a vacuum.

Try it out and let us know?

  • Yeah, someone got confused with all the terminology. Probably also old people think small stuff with a screen looks like a gameboy?

  • I’m not sure if it’s the same brand but we’ve got a slick one too… not a bad way to go if you end up liking it. Just wanted to give OP a way to try it out without waiting for more gear ;-)

  • Also a microwave isn’t a good Faraday cage… at least not mine ;-)

  • I’ve seen a few low res clips over the years… one did use a yagi (Christmas tree looking one?). I’m sure it’s possible, but I don’t think it’s actually a given. I’m not even expert adjacent on this one though 😅

  • I’m just banking on my car being the least fancy in my complex ;-)

Keyless entry sounds stupid and I’ve totally mocked people for being “to lazy to turn a key.” But pushbutton start makes my slow little Subaru feel like a race car :-)

  • That’s the neat part, all you need is a big jar, 24 hours in the fridge and filter patiently… the filtering isn’t really slow but you usually make a bunch.

Ratio of coffee to water is really the only tweak you can make. I used to use a whole 14OZ bag at a time and I’m not sure how much water anymore… I just used the same large glass jar every time, so there was more eyeball than measure.

It’s a very forgiving method, you can leave it in for 48+ hours, but 24 is the minimum. Once you filter it it’s good in the fridge for a week.

  • Unfortunately there’s currently no way to prevent it from automatically loading on your Mac ;-)

I’m absolutely going to give this a try. Thanks for posting!

  • So does not leaving your keys by the front door… not that I follow my own advice :-)

  • You don’t seem to be looking for the answer coldbrew, but it’s coldbrew.

  • Isn’t that what the Flipper Zero is for ;-) Kia notwithstanding it’s not that easy. But the relay attacks have been around since at least 2018 and I suspect years longer.

  • Sure, there’s some good free popcorn out there. It’s just not that common. It wasn’t a great analogy, but I’m sticking with it ;-)

  • 100% true, the quality of search results has plummeted. I’ve read lots of articles that propose a myriad of excuses, but at the end of the day Google could fix it if they wanted to. Google search has the quality of free popcorn.

  • So one bot watches and another posts, possibly from an established account farmed with real human labor.

  • Is this a joke, hyperbole? To build on your example, what if I wanted to find out “how to disable Windows 11 update prompts” into lemmy’s search. Do you think I would get the answer I’m looking for?

I’m not saying I don’t want to be rid of google and all they do. I would pay for 10 proton mail accounts a month if just one of googles data centers spontaneously burst into flames right now!

Well I’m willing to wait a while longer… I have not tried Kagi yet, but I will as soon as I get bored with Midjourney. Hopefully someday we can collectively slip the yoke, but I suspect googles results will get a lot worse first.

  • They did say it had a 2 foot by something box dangling beneath it… I’m assuming they’re calling it safe because it’s above some standard altitude.

Don’t actually know anything about radar tracking or high altitude ballooning :-)

  • I have been doing it wrong this whole time! Oops 😬

  • I don’t know… I guess I’m not as holy as I once believed? I talk… well I suppose it’s at my computer all the time. I’d be annoyed if it responded though. Maybe even annoyed enough to smack it…

  • You’re to kind. The insane ramblings of an insomniac ;-)
