A: Find the back of your computer. Locate and remove the ethernet cable.

This solution is hardware based (so nothing Mozella does to try and pay its staff will have any effect). Completely open source, so you and others can easily observe how it functions and potentially implement improvements. 100% effective at achieving your stated goal (provided you don’t have WiFi). And lastly: Has the added benefit of protecting you from any security risks introduced by running a 5 year old web browser.

I’m pretty sure whatever model of Nest cams I have (looks like the original drop cam style) have RSTP support… I wonder if they can be used with Frigate NVR?

I assume there’s no way to re-configure them after that deadline… but Corals are back to like 150% of MSRP ;-)

Mostly… does it ever worry you? That their’s something tucked away in that network blob.

Right after I joined the lemmings there was some guy who posted here with the same problem. Someone was fallowing him around with a half-dozen alts, downvoting every comment and upvoting cat picture.

I knew they made other consumer electronics but I had no idea about the boots. That’s a delightfully wholesome origin story :-)

Are they really struggling? I’m sure the margins are much better on carrier grade telecom equipment. I don’t think Huawei is going to mourn the loss, but this is probably a huge deal for Nokia.

I wasn’t really going for a point… and I suspect I was looking at some kind of odd knockoff based on what you said about the handsets. Shopping for something with a keypad to pacify my aging father I ran across this (New and Original Nokia 6300 4G)[ https://a.aliexpress.com/_mON9HOK]. Which triggered some latent memory of Nokia licensing their handset business to someone, and here we are.

Sure… it was more that they chose to pull out around the start of the smart phone revolution. It seemed foolish at the time. I’m not actually implying they had a master-plan, just joking around a bit.

Love it. When they announced they were getting out of the handset market years ago I figured they were nuts. Now their equipment replaces china’s while they seemingly now manufacture licensed knockoffs of Nokia’s old handsets 🤯

Never really bought the notion that they weren’t backing it all up.

But I gotta say thank you for helping to make Reddit great! The only thing I still regret is not trying harder to contribute when I was enjoying the site.
