  • I'm with you. Am just providing as much as I have gathered and hoped that others could go further. As the other comments says, it seems with looking into.

Beehaw is one of the few/only places on the Internet which can weigh up the opposing perspectives without resorting immediately to ad hominems.

  • Irregardless, the entire situation is appalling; this doesn't really change that fact.

Indeed, however if it is true then it really does look like mission creep: first only the North but extended all the way South, then the tunnels were more extensive than thought.

Mission creep rather than wanton killing. But it has creeped so far that now we have Trump resort lunacy bandied about.

  • Definitely both. He worked really hard to become a (traditional) economist so he focused on that.

He doesn't even call himself left wing (although he obviously is) because we need to get the centre right voters on board too.

He also distinguishes between social left and economic left. He doesn't want to touch the social aspects because he has little expertise there and because a lot of the bigotry and racism stems from the economic stress which leads to scapegoating.

His central message is "tax wealth, not work". The details are not important yet.

  • OK I understand what you mean now.

Right wing hijacked women's right to work turning it into women's necessity to work for ever increasing mortgage/rent with half of it being siphoned off into childcare.

No more could a household rely on a single bread-winner.

  • I don't understand your rationale in your opening sentence. A larger population means a proportionate increase in workload.

I am totally with you on the productivity angle. Politicians, academics, journalists warn us about an ageing population resulting in an inverted population pyramid. "Who will look after the elderly?" they cry but never touch on productivity. Even the Left are silent. Strange

  • Some stereotypes are natural (let's be real) but to only cater to them makes it seem like everyone else is wrong.

A way around this is to perhaps present the video along the lines of "if you are the kind of person who feels X in situation Y, consider expressing it respectfully by doing A, B or C" (where X is a stereotype)
