Logseq takes a very different approach with regards to the minimum working object, opting for something closer to paragraphs than pages, but it's currently my go to recommendation along with Trillium. It also has great stylus/handwritten support.

It's definitely both unfortunately and I don't think journalists even sort of have the capacity to recognize that.

One theory that I've not seen mentioned here is that there's been a lot of work based around multiple LLMs in communication. Of these were used in the RL loop we could see similar degradatory effects as those that have recently been in the news with regards to image generation models.

I think I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. New communities is fine but as someone who's been active over there for a while it definitely seems that the issue is that it's impossible for small communities to get any traction on the main page. I think the most important thing for long term growth is making sure that new users don't come over here and find that all the communities they are interested in are dead.

Doesn't Reddit totally weight by size of community tho? Not saying we should just ape the old site but I suspect it's actually necessary for smaller communities to grow naturally.

Quite a few of the popular instances don't even have downvotes.
