Tower Wizard is really good. If you want a taster of the style, the dev has a previous game Magic Archery which is 100% free (no microtransactions), just a very good, short, incremental game.
I had to retake one of my university units over the summer after failing the final exam. It was the most embarrassed I think I’ve been to tell my parents, as I’d always been pretty solid with schoolwork.
In the end everything ended up perfectly fine, parents didn’t give a shit (I was an adult after all) and it made no difference to my future career prospects at all.
That seems pretty reductive IMO. Like RE7 and RE8 are genuinely good returns to form for the series. The RE2 and RE4 releases are remakes which by most standards improve the original releases and bring them into the current generation.
Then throw in the Phoenix Wright games, Monster Hunter games, Dragon’s Dogma games, Street Fighter games, DMC…
I would argue Capcom has been on a tear of very good games, especially in the last 5 years.
Props for the Dead Leaves reference, I watched that like 15 years ago and I sometimes forget what it was called but never that specific style. Insane animation.
I recommend Portal Revolution too. It felt closer to a genuine 3 story.
Portal Reloaded was great but also quite complex compared to the first two games and I think most people who liked 1 and 2 would find it frustratingly difficult at times.
I’m still pretty early on but the dialogue is awful, and the two main characters are authors whose best ideas for novels amount to trolls and cyber ninjas. Not exactly unique or inspiring books guys. (Maybe this is some sort of point or satire I haven’t hit yet but I doubt it)
At least, like It Takes Two, the gameplay is reasonably enjoyable, particularly if you’re playing with someone who doesn’t play games a lot. It’s flashy in that Uncharted sort of way that will make them go “whoa cool”.
Sidenote, are these frames any good? Aura seems to advertise on a few podcasts I listen to but I’m curious how people in the real world feel about them
Chuck Palahniuk’s Guts? Or is that actually a real story?
