  • It's security theater and at this point it will never go away because too many people would lose their jobs. If you consider how much time and money have been spent on this crap, then you can only come to the inescapable conclusion that the terrorists won.

  • Pennsylvania does seem to be really far east for anyone to legit think that they're in the Midwest, but I haven't had the pleasure of visiting, yet, and don't know much about the people there. I can offer some perspective on a couple states that aren't exactly Midwest states:

Eastern Colorado is geographically and culturaly indistinguishable from Kansas, so I can see how people living in that area could consider it being the Midwest.

Since Oklahoma, my home state, was mostly just Native American territories it wasn't really part of either side of the civil war and so I think a lot of today's population don't want to be associated with the south and its history. I personally would hate to be called a southerner, but I don't think midwesterner is necessarily the right fit either.

  • It seems that many commenters in this thread did not read the article, which said that many are going to leave the top of the ticket blank, aka abstain from the presidential vote, while many are going to vote 3rd party.

Not voting for Biden does not automatically mean a vote for Trumpty Dumpty, or whomever ends up with the nomination (unlikely it won't be him, I know, but after 2016, I don't take anything for granted).

  • I didn't watch the CNN video, I watched the one you linked. Yes, he was being an asshole, but he wasn't threatening. His hands were still on the truck. The officer tazered him because he wouldn't put his hands behind his back, right? He had already called for backup, though, right? All he had to do was continue to let Leonard argue with him until cover arrived. Backup didn't arrive "too late," the officer escalated the situation "too early." It was literally only a couple of minutes into the stop. Some de-escalation on the officers part and the story would have been different.

  • Not to mention the whole premise of the post is silly. A president is supposed to be nonpartisan? Since when?

Also, they're trying to say that junior high politics are somehow different than adult politics? The house is looking for a new speaker because a few people said that, "if you pass a bill with support from the other side, then you're out of there."

A Biden vote is definitely a "not Trumpty Dumpty" vote for me, but he's done about what I expected. I don't understand how people can hate him with the same passion as others can hate The Cheeto, though. I mean only one of those men is clearly evil and it's not the really old white guy that should be retired; it's the other really old white guy that should be retired (and in prison).
