  • Not clear from this what the difference is between a TPU and an LPU.

  • Yes, however recruiters see someone like this and see a great opportunity to fill their quota, so it all balances out.

  • There are daily updates on many channels on YouTube if you want to keep up.

  • I prefer it too, but if something works well and saves me time and effort for $2, I don't make a big deal out of it. I also need to accomplish things other than monkeying around with my computer.

  • It has had such a massive positive effect on my life relative to the price.

  • I've used them all (probably 20+ different OS' in my lifetime), and they all have a place. I use Windows, MacOS, and Linux daily, each for what they are good at. Maybe people should use what works best for them?

  • There are free OS alternatives out there (which I suspect you already use but just want to poop on other's parade).

I assume that if someone's already using Windows, a paid OS, they are willing to pay $2 to make it usable.

  • No, it's a euphemism for "screw the people who are left, we need a quick reduction in our cost structure so that we can take bigger bonuses"

  • I have only owned an oculus quest, and a PlayStation vr2, So I have never had this issue before

  • Yes. If "Sadly It's Bradley"'s YouTube channel is anything to go by, furries (and maybe enterprises) will be the primary purchasers of the AVP. He's absolutely over the moon about it.

  • There are amazing VR games like HL:Alex and Resident Evil. Not as many as we'd all like but then are out there, and I do believe as porting becomes easier, we will see more AAA titles like this. And honestly playing these games in VR puts their flatscreen versions to shame, so I do think this will become more popular going forward.

For AR we are just at the beginning. I think AVP has proved the concept that you could use such a device for productivity, but I think mass adoption will take many more iterations. But I am sure that bothe AR and VR have long futures ahead of them.

  • Yeah but then I'd have to stop throwing stones, and that's one of my favorite pastimes.

  • I can't imagine there's any reason they couldn't make an opaque version of the same. Would probably look pretty cool in black. Or better yet, make them electrochromic so you can have more light in the winter and less in the summer.

  • The main reason Trump is saying these things is that it's already abundantly clear that every country in Europe will be hitting their NATO funding target in the next few years anyway. They've all made plans to that effect anyway. So Trump can make it look like he did it, when in reality it had already been decided.

  • Yes this should have been done better. I remember when they did the same thing in the USA they at least listed all of them so you could to see what they were up to.

  • Uncovering these rings, publicizing them, and shutting them down needs to be a top priority. I think a lot, if not most, of the bad decisions made by voters stem from these kind of bad actors. We've let it go on for long enough.
