This might be a stupid question but I am so far out of the rom game that I have no clue. Does lineage or others support copying data over from a current phone either from stock or same os? I've been rocking pixels and nexus before it and it's gotten so easy to move to a new phone with 90%+ of apps and data just being ready to go.
Oh yeah, I remember the Clinton investigation. Literally the only thing they could get him on was perjury over something that should never been a public issue. They kept looking and looking until they found something to "get him" on and wasted fuck knows how much money and resources doing it.
I'm really hoping (but not expecting) the dems to grow some metaphorical balls and after this election (assuming Biden wins) they go even deeper into the shit the right has been doing for decades and lock as many as them up or at least get them barred from politics, law, whatever for eternity.

The left takes even the smallest infractions way more seriously than they need to. I'm still pissed off about Franken. Pretty sure Biden didn't do a damn thing to protect his son aside from just being his father as most good parents would do regardless of their innocence or guilt.

I've seen this happening lately. All of these "articles" talking shit about Biden from a supposedly left pov. It's all bullshit and some of us don't fall for the astroturf.
Romney has made some half assed attempts but the sycophants have gone further towards the looney bin than Romney or his generation of politicians would ever have gone. Remember that they had an effigy of him on Jan 6. No one on the right these days cares about the country or anyone other than themselves. The entire republican party is now basically a pack of rabid chihuahuas, they are powered by hate, fear and loathing.
Even if Romney and the few remaining sane repubs came out for Biden and pushed the party to get off the hate train, that train has already left the station and can not be stopped until it hits the end of the track and that will be when we finally fix the gerrymandering and prosecute enough of them for all of the crimes they have gotten away with for way too long.
Not really. The choice is between a fascist sychopant who did more damage to this country than we will likely ever know or an experienced statesman who has led the charge to undo said damage and bring us forward on many fronts. If trump had won again we would probably be chest deep in the worst depression we have ever seen and note that I said depression and not recession.

You are part of the problem with the left. Yes, the Israel thing is fucked up and a mess, but, as much as it sucks, Biden would have to do something much much worse than stick with a long standing policy of supporting Israel (regardless of how we feel about it) before I would not support him, especially over trump.
No one else has the support or name recognition to beat trump and every vote for anyone other than Biden (in the actual election) is a vote in support of fascism and helps usher in our first dictator. It won't be trump but I won't be surprised if they find a way to give his vp a total of 3 terms and push legislation that will make sure that they get whoever they want in office after that.

My issue with the downvotes is that it is regularly brigaded even if it's not an organized effort. Legit contributions get shouted down to being hidden while other non helpful or downright dangerous info is kept above it. On reddit with the smaller subs it doesn't matter especially when it's a post because it's still going to show in the sub. And while lemmy/fediverse is still small and growing, this will most definitely push plenty of people (likely me included) to not be as active because the majority of people don't seem to be capable of having a real conversation and instead just downvote and move on.
The one thing lemmy and the fediverse has going for it is not having karma attached to your account so you don't have people looking for upvotes for legitimacy and you don't have downvote troll farmers who see how far negative they can get.
I could also see keeping the up/down and total so long as it's hidden (but accessible to those that want to see it). I'd also be okay if downvoting enough of a specific accounts comments or posts automatically hid it from you (without blocking them completely).
And to make my point even clearer. Multiple someones have been going through my comment history and downvoting everything they can. The only ones they haven't are probably the ones that the post was deleted so while I can see my comment, I can't see any responses or the ones I responded to. And lemmy doesn't do that random bullshit that reddit does so I know they are real.
And even more on the nose here. I'm sure this addendum will sound like I am crying to a few or more of the drive by downvoters here and will bring in an onslaught of downvotes because as you already brought up, way too many people don't take the time to think about what they are reading and just react silently or by responding as if they are a 3rd grader bullying a toddler on the playground, likely because no one loves them enough (because they are hell to be around).

This is true across the web. Not only do some people not read through it all and not understand the nuance even if they did read all of it, they also tend to play follow the leader and downvote when others already have instead of taking a minute or two out of their day and deciding for themselves.
I really wish we could get away from the up/down votes. Despite knowing better and honestly not giving a flying fuck, I find myself obsessed with it at times and it's not healthy. As much as I dislike the emoticons that have taken over, I'd almost prefer that. Use hearts or smiley faces or something and show the actual ratio of up/down, ie 5 hearts and 5 frowny face or whatever.
This right here. They would probably save a ton of money by just making it free for everyone and if needed adding a small tax somewhere. I'd bet that an extra 0.25% on vehicle registrations to fund it would barely be noticed and would probably cover most of it.
I have no idea what the cost is for the cops going after fare jumpers but that would also cover some of it and free the cops up for more important things, like having an extra donut.

I've worked for 3 different restaurants, 3 different retail/grocery and likely other jobs that those like you and the other pseudo intellectuals here have probably never heard of nor could you handle.
