First off, it's not AI, it's llm, basically a better way to collate and search data. It's a tool that they should be using for research but they better not be using chatgpt or any of the other publicly available ones. I would hope that by now someone has launched or is working on one that was trained with data from law books, existing case law, etc and then you could also feed it any discovery documents that come in and it can help highlight what is important.

My wife got really lucky with this company. They are not run like most. They are actually based out of one of the Nordic countries (don't remember exactly which one) which explains why they do things the way they do.

You need to start reading and understanding what people are saying to you. The limit daily is 10 transcripts. Sometimes that takes longer than 8-9 hours, sometimes way less. When someone is done, they are done and not expected to do anything more even with a huge back log. If there is a backlog and someone steps up to do one or two more to help out, my wife and her boss usually figure out a way to give them a half day or another full day off at some point. And if you don't offer, it's not held against you.

If I could sit still long enough I would have no problem working on one of the teams that work with hers.

As for the time off. Yes, she takes time off and is getting better about taking more and more.

I'm done here because I don't need to defend them anymore and I know I can't change the mind of a zealot. The company is alphasense and you can look it up if you feel the need. Based on this convo though, I doubt you would be a good fit with them.

Despite that, they have done and continue to do serious damage. First abortion (really women's health care), now in Alabama and likely others, embryos are considered children.

Don't jump to conclusions here. This company actually does take care of their people. Unlimited PTO and they mean it. Better than the best insurance that is self funded and more. She expects her bonus this year to be between 5k and 8k. Her team (and her) before moving up to management has a hard line max on work per day. She is doing work that if the company tried to exploit like that they would regret it immediately because shit work would make it through and their clients would not be happy.

She was originally IC with a company and was one of the first few people hired. They were bought out by a bigger fish and that company is close to a IPO but they are waiting for the market and timing to be just right to pull the trigger. They just hired a bunch of people and she is now running her team, they have made moves like splitting the teams up and creating new groups to focus on certain things to make everyones jobs easier.

As I said and clearly you didn't read or understand. 2 of her bosses, 1 in particular were telling her to take more time off, even before they hired enough to allow them to chip in and help when needed. Again, it wasn't them asking her to work more, it was her not being comfortable leaving stuff undone and coming back to even more.

And no, companies aren't always in a growth phase, not like hers. They are in a niche of a niche industry that is booming. And 90% of the company is work from home without a pay adjustment for locale so we could move to an even lower cost of living area and she would still make the same, she also never has to go to the office but she is probably welcome if we were ever in NYC.

If the company you are currently with isn't able or willing to make that overtime up via other days off when work allows or with extra pay for the time, a bonus, something, you need to find a different company.

For example, my wife had been working some stupid hours because her company was in a growth phase (and still is) but now they have enough people that her bosses can chip in to help her when needed so she can take time off and both of her direct bosses basically told her to "take some fucking time off" and even with the work load were fine with her taking off, it's her that doesn't like coming back to a full queue and email inbox.

In the USA, our overtime laws would make that schedule extremely lucrative. I worked a similar schedule one summer when waiting tables. I now work for myself and regularly work a similar schedule (5am-5-6pm+) 5 days a week, sometimes I will not work on Saturday or Sunday but sometimes I will work in the afternoon. I drive for a living, a few apps and my own service.

Trumps ideas are not his own. He is parroting putin., kim and who knows who else. They love trump because he owes them more money than he could ever pay back (assuming he paid his debts).

Pay attention and you can tell when he is talking from his own meth addled brain or when he has a script to stick to.

If trump gets elected, this country is over (as we know it) we just won't know it yet. If trump wins, the maggats will find a way to keep him or his vp in office regardless of who wins the next election. If he wins again, it is the first step towards us having our very own dictator and nothing short of a civil war will remedy it.

You can tell it's fake because he is interacting warmly with black people anyone.

I'm with you. I'm trying to stay positive about the future. We have made some progress fixing what they fucked up last time around but it seems like every step forward we take, they pull us back 1.5. I'm trying to not grow into the cynical old man that some have become (I'll be 43 in a few months, not really old I know) but it's getting harder to see a future without a theocratic dictator in charge of this country. That's what they want and they said as much at cpac.

Our only hope in the short term is that they have pissed off enough young voters (who usually don't vote) that we keep our current adults running things and add enough to actually make some shit happen.

If trump (or even haley) wins this year, this will usher in our first dictator. It won't be trump but it will definitely be whoever they install after him (or her) or the ones after that.

My real fear (and I don't actually fear much) is that if trump wins again, the left despite having an actual majority, will never hold power again without an actual civil war.

He isn't a tumor per se, he is a growth that was fed and groomed by putin and others. He got lucky and the msm thought he had zero chance so they used him for ratings and they ended up giving him an actual shot last time around.

Remember that Hillary won the popular vote. He only won because the right has gerrymandered some states to the point that he got the electoral college in enough states to outweigh the popular vote.

Everyone reading this, remember this for the future. In the past few decades that I have been old enough to pay attention, no republican has won the popular vote, they only win because of the aforementioned gerrymandering and the electoral college. If we got rid of electoral college no republican would have the Whitehouse for a very long time.

I think it's a combination of money he owes to SA, Russia, etc and his clearly failing mental health. He isn't actually an ideologue as he believes in nothing except his own godlyness. The only master he has served was himself up until a decade or two ago. Remember that he did run for office a couple of times in the early 90s iirc and lost but those were on third party I believe, not republican.

Anyone who has been paying attention for the past 40+ years knows what's what. He is a grade a moron who doesn't even know how to run a business. Try watching the apprentice, that will tell you all you need to know about his business acumen. I'm not going to go into his history of failed businesses, money received from multiple enemies of the state, etc.
