That's what Star Fox Armada was going to be 😢

Yeah, if you see Adventures as a game starring Star Fox that is not a Star Fox game, you can appreciate it 😬

Yeah, there were complains about the third-person shooter stages and the control scheme. I played it recently and you can tell the controllers didn't age well in those sections. But it's not terrible, and the game's still a lot of fun and has a good story.

Personally, I think Nintendo needs to stop using Star Fox as a tech demo for their new gimmicks like they did with Star Fox Command on the DS and Star Fox Zero on the Wii U. Star Fox: Assault was a great game for the Game Cube and got way more hate than it deserved. The spaceship levels were great, it expanded the story, enemies and characters, and it was a generally fun game.

Star Fox Armada sounded amazing. Do that!

I think I'm at the last site of the main campaign. I've been playing pretty relaxed and getting 100% in each site. HowLongToBeat says it takes 38½ hours for "Completionists", so I'm guessing that'll be how long it takes me at least. But I'm in no rush 😅

Horizon Chase 2 is pretty fun, it's arcade racing, so pretty accessible for people who don't play realistic racing games like me (the only other racing game I play is Mario Kart!).

I also played some Smash Ultimate during the weekend and I'm seriously considering getting Nintendo Online again to play online (and also for F-Zero 99...).

Still playing Pikmin 4, I think I might be close to finishing. It's been fun, but I'm starting to feel a bit bored after almost 30 hours...

After yesterday's Direct I got Horizon Chase 2 which I was expecting on the Switch. It's a bit buggy (nothing major, just small things here and there), and the frame rate drops in some stages, but it's still quite fun and the music is amazing. Barry Leitch never disappoints 🙌

The good sign -to me- is if they're still hyping up major Switch games so late in the game, it probably means whatever comes next will be backwards compatible.

That's a good idea. I think they did spoil a few too many things in the Direct, but also I'm sure there'll be plenty of surprises. My memory is so bad that everything will seem new by the time I play anyway 😅

I mentioned a while ago I wanted to get New Super Super Mario Bros U Deluxe (when you write it down, you realise what a silly name 🤦), but since Wonder is so close, I don't think I will. I'm really looking forward to it after the Direct!

I started playing the TMNT: Shredder's Revenge DLC and really enjoyed Survival Mode, it's pretty cool. I want to play the story with more characters and hopefully will be playing some co-op during the weekend.

The only other game I'm playing on Switch is Pikmin 4, but I've also been playing some Game Boy here and there (peak Zelda, Kirby, Indestructo Tank!).

I got this yesterday (it's on sale on the eshop at the moment!), and I can tell the new Survival mode will be a massive time sink 😅

I'm hating every single underwater level. I have a lot of issues with Sonic games level design (in some cases it's plainly bad in my opinion). But pushing through!

We ended up playing Shredder's Revenge instead of Double Dragon, looking forward to the DLC in a few days!

I have been playing a bit of Sonic Origins here and there these days. I am trying to finish Sonic 2 just now.

I'll definitely be playing some co-op beat em ups this weekend. Maybe continue with Double Dragon, but we may end up switching to something else (better 😅).

I've also been playing Pikmin 4, but I'm taking it easy, and I've been thinking a lot about going back to Tears of the Kingdom to finish the main story. But maybe I'll wait until after I've finished Pikmin...
