Shovel Knight Dig Wicked Wishes DLC Trailer

  • Oh, that's a good first Zelda! Enjoy the adventure and welcome to Hyrule!

  • Glad to see this game still around and announced for Switch! I pledged in their Indiegogo campaign, but they didn't reach their goal at the time which was a shame. The game has a lot of potential and the demo on Steam was really fun at the time. Looking forward to playing it on Switch!

  • Thanks for the explanation, it was just a joke.

  • I haven't turned on my Switch during the work week, so I guess I'll keep playing Pikmin 4 and Double Dragon this weekend. I wish I had more time to play Nintendo and read 😅

  • How come it's called Walkman when it doesn't play cassettes?

  • I loved my Wii U. As you say, there were some amazing games. Nintendo Land was an underrated party game. I had so many nights of fun with friends playing Nintendo Land, Smash Bros Wii U, Mario Kart 8, and more. I won't deny Star Fox Zero was a major disappointment and pain in the ass with the controller gimmicks, but in general it was a fun console. At least Nintendo learned from it, the failure of the Wii U was probably 90% marketing. Not saying it could have done as well as the Switch, but it could have done way better had they presented and named it better.

  • My Switch games collection is the biggest games collection I've ever had, so it better be backwards compatible 😅

  • I'll gladly check out any books you've written. If you think you can do so much better than Doctorow, it must be really good stuff!

  • I hope the trend grows. Amazon needs to be abolished, divided, whatever it takes to destroy their monopoly.

  • Thanks for listing the games! YouTubers and their video formats are definitely not for me 😅

GigaBash stands out in that list for me, it looks really fun and I like kaiju games.

I got Blasphemous I in a sale a short time ago but I think I've only played a few minutes. It's good, but I need to get into it. I think this was shortly before TotK came out, so it didn't get a chance! I might consider the sequel once I get around to playing the first one,

  • I only played co-op for a bit during the weekend and it's ok, but there's definitely better beat 'em ups on Switch. For a legendary brand like "Double Dragon", I was expecting more. The difficulty is weird, on a level it started super easy and all of a sudden we both died from some bullshit traps, spears that come out of the floor and hit you and you don't have enough time to get up before the next ones attack you so you eventually die. I'll still give it a few more tries, it is sort of fun, but definitely not the best of the genre.

  • I'll hit you up when I get it 👍

  • It's a beat 'em up, but when you finish a level you can get upgrades from the money you collected. And the other levels become harder. And when you die, you can buy a continue, but if you've used your money on upgrades there's a chance you've run out and you just die for good. Guess that's "roguelike action"?

  • Nice! I've always wanted a Famicom AV, they look super cool.

  • These are some of my favourites off the top of my head:

I played River City Girls 1 and got the sequel but haven't gotten much into it yet.

  • I'm probably as good as in Mario Kart. I think I'm good when I play with friends, but then I play online and get my ass handed to me 😆 I haven't paid for Nintendo Online for about two years now, but I could get back to it for some Smash and Mario Kart online!

I love beat 'em ups too. I have a decent beat 'em up collection for Switch now! Both classic collections and modern ones.

  • I think it's the kind of game where it's better to use the D-pad than the stick. And the D-pad from the Pro Controller is an absolute joke, registers random stuff all over the place. I use the 8bitdo SNES controller for anything that's better to play with a D-pad.
