  • I might pick it up in the near future. I don't have much nostalgia for the NES Dragon Quest games, but this one looks amazing.

If they remake DQV and VI in this style I will buy it in a heartbeat! And yes, I know V had two remakes already, but none of them are available on a modern platform.

  • We all know Dark Souls was a hit, but maybe From wasn't quite sure they would be able to capture lightning in bottle twice. So they played safe and signed another deal with Sony.

When you think about it, that worked well for them. DS2 wasn't as good as DS1, but Bloodborne was HUGE.

  • I feel the same. I think they got to a point where there's nothing else left to improve, no interesting features to add.

The only feature I am really looking forward to is the return of removable batteries.

  • Truly.

    Jump
  • I heard they are always trembling because they are too small to retain their body heat. And they are aggressive because everyone else is too big and scary.

These poor dogs literally spend most of their lives cold and terrified.

  • There are some modders experimenting with eGPUs on the Deck, but it's really impractical. The Deck USB-C connector isn't powerful enough to handle an external GPU and the OS doesn't support it.

Valve would need to release new hardware for it to be feasible.

  • From my experience working for a management consulting firm. It's more like everyone knows what the problems are and how to fix them, but they are too scared of screwing up to do something about it.

So they hire a consultancy company to tell them what they already knew and take the blame if something goes wrong.

"No one ever gets fired for hiring McKinsey"

  • Definitely capitalism. These companies are under constant pressure from shareholders to increase profits year over year.

Once they can't increase profits by growing the market share anymore, they increase it by making their products shittier.
