  • I would make two horizontal slots along the bottom of the tray, maybe 2-3cm wide and as long as you're able to print on your printer (pro tip: rotate long skinny models 45° to get ~40% extra length by printing corner to corner). Or even better, if you've got some spare sheet metal laying around throw those in the slots.

  • I've a sweet tooth and like a bit of honey in my tea. So, I put a dab of honey in the cup while the kettle goes, then pour the boiling water in, and use one of those little electric milk frothers to stir it up thoroughly. While the water is still spinning, I toss the tea bag in, and throw the lid on the cup to let it steep for however long.

  • It would only be able to heat the tea to above 100C if that point of zero nucleation remained undisturbed, and the tea held directly within it; in other words, it's not possible.

Assuming there's an amount of water within the cup that is above 100C, while the rest is at or below 100C. As soon as you grab the cup out of the microwave, the water will start to slosh around in the cup, equalizing the temperature. If there are any major hot spots remaining, they will be well below 100C, and almost completely equalized when the tea bag is added.

  • It is, but you're being incredibly hostile (and vaguely xenophobic) towards someone who was literally just trying to chat about an issue you were having with a product you purchased and were disappointed in.

I'm still curious as to what you determined the problem to be with your printer, but I'm assuming you never figured it out, threw it in a closet, and now bitch in 3d printing communities about how bad their hobby is.

  • You seem incredibly confident in your diagnosis for someone who can't get a very common filament to work on printers that have been using it for years. Care to elaborate more than, "you're completely wrong, except for where you're right"? What was causing the problem?

  • It sounds like it may have been reaching a thermal shutoff point and killing itself. Maybe the temp you were aiming for was close to the limit, and slight variations caused it to go over and "save" itself.

The only thing that might keep a printer that prints PLA well from printing PETG well is if it's an old printer without a heated bed. Save for that (and potentially faulty hardware or miscalibrated settings), there's not really anything that "can't" print PETG.

I actually have some PLA+ rolls that print at higher speeds temps than my PETG rolls 🤷🏾‍♂️

  • I mean that's the point kind of haha. I know some people use the lingo unironically, but if I tell my homies I'm bout to lock in, clutch up, and secure the dub, I don't want them to take me seriously, lmao.

When my buddies are playing, and we're being loud, telling jokes, and generally goofing around instead of paying attention, one of the common things we'll jokingly say when the laughter dies down is "alright alright alright, focus up guys, let's focus up".

  • They are, in my opinion, the least comfortable to wear. I'm a skinny guy, so my issues may be me-specific, but there is nothing keeping the legs down, or anything to keep your goods in place. So every time I tried wearing these, I'd end up with the legs ridden all the way up, cargo completely unsecure in my jeans.

Unbothered is the last vibe I feel in them 😅

  • Traditionally, to be "locked in" on something would mean to be locked in on your target, goal, etc.

Telling someone to lock in or "lock it in" is kind of like a nice way of saying "get your shit together" or "focus up". I hear it in sports/ gaming lingo.

  • I mean that's fine, I don't really care if some randoms on the internet don't like that I bitched about something small in the "bitch about something small" community. I just think it's funny that everyone thinks I need to "calm down" when I'm literally just shooting the shit about something I saw.

But please, your notches are still way too high.
