  • I don't think people should downvote without explaining, but the suggestion of having them sleep in separate rooms is a little ridiculous if they're already having sex.

Trust me, as someone who's parents did the same thing, the only thing it will accomplish is pissing everyone off (the teens because they're being treated like kids, the parents because they suspect something is happening regardless of what is). Either give them "the talk" and let them make decisions like adults, or decide they are still children and don't let her stay over.

  • they mean that it comes already too moist from the factory?

It certainly can be. PETG LOVES water in my experience and there's only so much that can be controlled.

On the rare occasion I have to use PETG I usually just accept that it's gonna be poppy unless I put the spool in with my chicken tendies.

  • I sent an email. We'll see what happens.

Edit: I received the following response:

This has been a social experiment by Oxford University, thanks for participating. Your data has been logged.

Immediately after opening the email, I received the following text message:

    Hello, how have you been?

    0/10, would not recommend.

  • I'm not defending their comment (because I'm not even really sure what its stance is), but I do want to clarify that they don't seem to be arguing that we're low-IQ rather than autistic; rather, I think the argument is that when low-IQ people see "normal" IQ activities, the low-IQ person will chalk it up to neurodivergence.

Like in their example, a low-IQ person would see a neurotypical person folding their laundry and think, "huh, they must be on the spectrum".

  • If I had to put it in words, I'd say that it's an example of absurdist humor by taking the common act of "one-up'ing" to an unexpected extreme degree.

ex.: "I prefer mowers from x brand, because they give a more consistent cut height." / "Yeah, those mowers are great and all, but I started using a ruler and scissors to cut my lawn, it really took it to the next level"
