  • Too late.

I'm sure, I'm not the only one who definitely isn't going to try out Disney+ anytime soon.

After I had to seperate my Netflix account from my nieces and my sister, I actually planed to switch to Disney for a while to see what they offer, but not anymore.

  • You ask as if that was a good thing. Like an honor for a book. But I way too often find myself defending books with "It's nothing like the movie. Don't juge it by the awful movie."

Especially fantasy adaptions are regularly awful and damaging for the books.

Examples: The Dark Tower, Eragon, Percy Jackson, The Giver, Inkheart.
Netflix's Persuasion, The Beach to name a couple of non fantasy as well.

So I'd rather they leave the books alone and make original stories into movies.

  • I used LinkedIn very briefly 10 years ago, when I moved back from abroad. I haven't logged in for at least 9 years and actually lost the access. I still get emails from them. I can even unsubscribe without reseting my password und regaining access of my account.

I mark them all as spam.

  • The last decade?!

This is going on forever and people are coming forward from the moment it was possible to do so. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible for a long time.

    Watch The Keepers on Netflix.
It starts out as an investigation in a cold case murder of a Catholic nun in 1969 and unearths atrocities in multitude. It shows clearly how they silenced everyone who dared to question or speak out about abuse in the church.

  • Until recently I thought Trump is just a manipulator and con man. A man who knows how to play gullible people to get what he wants.

But more and more I think that he actually believes all the shit he puts out there. That he is a genuine hateful, bigotted white surpremacist (or more like trump-supremacist) that feels like he has to save the world from communism and socialism.

And somehow that makes it worse.

  • You sure thats not just another language?

Elephant is very similar in a lot of languages like Elefant in german, danish, norwegian, elefante in spanish, portugese and italian, éléphant in french...

  • I personally say in a friendly tone "I'm sorry but I have to kick you out now because I have xxx things to do."
Add something appreciative about their visit/your meeting like "it was great to see you", "thanks for stopping by" or something.

If you are just socially spend, you could also say that. "I hate to kick you out, but I can't people anymore today/my social capacity is spent/it was all a bit much for me today."

People will understand if you are direct. We all have shit to do and limited resources.
Being honest and direkt is often less weird than dancing around the fact that you want them to leave.

  • Related thing to know:
    Cats are liquid

That's not something cat owners just say for fun. Its true. No gap or hole is too small, cats just flow through the smallest spaces. And sometimes they like to sit in small places and cry for your attention. Don't get fooled into thinking they are stuck. Most of the time it's a choice.

  • Tell people in your life what they mean to you and that you love them.
Often and always, you never know how much time you have together.

Call your mom, dad, your grandparents, spend time with your kids, with your nieces and nephew. Tell them all, that you are proud of them or grateful for them and that you love them.

We always think we have all the time in the world to spend with family and people we love. But if one of their lives is cut short, you might regret it forever!

  • No. Read the article instead just spewing opinions and conspiracy theories.

It's about national debt and changing the financing of aid to Ukraine.

Nothing is halted. Future aid will not be financed by the federal budget, but from proceeds of seized russian assets.

  • I find these headlines all misleading.

Germany discusses for weeks now the next year's federal budget and the ruling parties are at odds about spending and accumulation of new debts. And they agreed now, that future Ukraine aid will not come out of the federal budget.

All already approved aid to Ukraine will still be delivered. Nothing is "halted".

All new aid, to be approved for the next fiscal year will not come from the federal budget but will be financed with seized Russian assets.

So, Germany doesn't stop Ukraine aid at all. They just have to finance it differently in the next year.
