  • In a world where the right wing is all about book banning and restricting access to information that doesn't fit with their own narrative, providing wide access not only to everything on the Internet but also to thousands of books, newspapers, podcasts and all kinds of documents sounds quite left to me.

  • If you’re a post-menopausal woman and all you want to do is rear grandkids that’s just as valid a choice

That's just the point of this post. It's pointing out, that post menopausal women can have more than one purpose depending on what they choose to do with their lives.

It doesn't say the only purpose. I think you missed that.

  • For me, less popular would also include people who are indifferent about them, just less people exited. Doesn't necessarily mean that people really dislike them.

More unpopular seems to me there are more people who are actively against them, dislike them.

I can be not popular, without being unpopular at all.

But english isn't my native or main language, so...

  • And you are from either of these Koreas?

I personally would not ask an American which Korea he is from ("which Korea an American was from") but I had extensive conversations about the separation of the countries with actual Koreans. I commented about my personal expierience.

Edit to add: I rather have my brain fall out from open-mindedness than one that shrivels up like a raisin from ignorance.

  • North Korean refugees do exist and even if its more likely to meet a South Korean, wouldn't it be discrimatory and erasing to just assume all Koreans you meet are from the south?

Especially since South Koreans normally don't make the distinction of north and south but talk about one Korea. In my expierience, foreign born Korean don't do this, but Korean born Koreans do.

  • Of course and in an ideal world we wouldn't need save spaces for women. But we don't live in an ideal world and while not all men are creeps, still too many are.

I don't think I don't know any woman who wasn't at some point in her life sexually harrased and/or assaulted. All over the world. And as long as the situation is like that, people like you, who feel offended or "segregated" by female safe spaces are part of the problem.

Yes you, crying "Not all meennn" are part of the problem and why the world isn't safer for women.

  • SINCE WHEN IS CREATING SAVE SPACES FOR WOMEN "SEGREGATION"??!!!

India is a country where you have to be careful not to look directly at men on the streets! Not to mention when you can't move away for hours.

Sometimes I find the rampant Misogyny on lemmy really disturbing.

  • Since gender is a social construct, I'd say there are as many as we as a society construct. And if you grow up tomorrow and feel like you, as a part of this society doesn't see yourself in the ones we already constructed, you just construct a new one.

So I'd sa, how many genders there are is fluid. But absolutely AT LEAST 3.
