Wasn't looking for a pokemon game at all. Really had no expectations other than for it to be good. And I just found it lacked in pretty much every front. There are survival games that do the survival thing way better and collector games that are way better at the collecting thing too. And if anything, the buzz shaped my opinion in favor of the game. Which is why I'm so disappointed and confused lol. I only lean so hard on the pokemon comparison because those are the only people I could see enjoying this. The survival is so shallow, I would guess people who truly enjoy survival games would get bored so quickly.
From where I sit physical media is experiencing a huge surge in popularity. So I think bluray is here to stay, and will see more usage in the coming years.
Great article! I have vivid memories of renting this from Hollywood Video (a southern california blockbuster equivalent), getting so confused, and giving up on it very quickly.

Your reading comprehension needs some work. I explicitly said that this is clearly a case of diminishing quality, which could be attributed to the example you listed or any one of many other terrible corporate practices. Then I said in a social sense, I don't see a downside to the general idea of Americans eating less fried chicken. I was elaborating past the original point of the post.
So this is about kfc, so it's clearly an example of a corporation being cheap af and diminishing quality. But like, on the lighter more social side of things, I dunno. This kind of speaks to the fact that as Americans we have a totally distorted view of how big animals are. Also, we have no concept of what reasonable portion sizes are. I think smaller pieces of fried chicken is probably a good thing for most of us healthwise lol. Ideally, it would reflect more responsible chicken farming. I mean, this is kfc, so I know that's not the case here. But in general, I don't see any real downsides to smaller pieces of fried chicken. We eat too much as it is lol.

Larcen! He was awesome too. Such a great cast of characters, and each stage had a stage death you could unlock similar to a fatality. My brother's and I sank so many hours into this game.
