  • Libraries are legitimately one of the best things about modern society. I worked at one during college and it was amazing. Go support your local library everyone! Librarians are master researchers, they are like untapped oracles.

  • You're right. People's behavior exist in a vacuum. How could I be so stupid? If you truly can't understand that offline experiences influence online behavior, then I truly am talking to a brick wall. This whole conversation is ridiculous because the premise you pose is simply a lie. Plenty of atheists ignore posts, and everyone who has ever been a person knows that the religious are far more likely to give their unwarranted opinions, offline and online. To reiterate, you're full of shit.

  • I elaborated past the original point of the post, including larger context. Context informs people's behaviors online and offline. It's hilarious that you actually needed that explained to you. My bad, though. I should stop engaging with 13 year olds on the internet. Have a nice day.

  • This is a deeply dishonest and delusional take considering missionaries exist. I have never had an atheist knock on the door of my private residence in an attempt to convince me to adopt their beliefs. We both know the religious are far more likely to berate, ostracize, and physically harm those who think differently. For whatever reason, you're just conveniently acting like these things don't exist or happen regularly. In other words, you're full of shit.

  • It's nice to know that the odds of encountering bots, trolls, and bigots are incredibly low. Yes, there is less content, but it's the only place I don't have to scroll passed vitriol and misinformation regularly. It's wonderful.

  • I have an account with beehaw. It's my favorite place on the internet. I think most of us are happy with the way it has panned out. Some discussion here and there of potentially leaving activitypub altogether. If it happens, I will follow. If it doesn't I will stay. Beehaw is too special for those of us it speaks to and works for. I don't see it dying anytime soon, that's for sure.

  • Yay! I'm not alone on the internet! Lol I'm shocked so many people who consider themselves savvy have eaten it up. You've just proven you are so easily bought. And bought by a demonstrably mediocre product. The devs hacked your brain. I'm actually surprised more people aren't outright pissed off about how obvious and blatant it is. Bread and circuses I suppose.

  • My friend and I loved playing make believe super heroes with our own madeup heroes. We made a whole xmen team, named Rainbow and his group. The leader was Rainbow. And he had a group. He could shoot rainbows. No one ever played as him as he was easily the weakest character in the group. Kids are hilarious.
