  • Its both because they pander to the popular, which is why anything thays actually useful, funny, or satirical gets banned on that site.

  • Probably not good advice, but the 50XX series is right around the corner (end of january, and february for <=5070ti), which Nvidia did advertise big increases for AI workflows. Whether or not they actually are, and whether or not you will actually be able to buy one is another question lol.

Good chance 40xx series will drop in value right after though, so I would wait until the end of the month and see at least.

I'm still out here using tensorflow on my server with a 750ti lmao.

  • Google maps couldn't navigate its way out of a straight road with the shit tier routing algorithm they haven't updated for a decade.

I've seen GPS devices from as far back as 2005 that can run circles around this absolute junk software, including the touchscreen UX,

I hate this thing so much that I would pay to have Tesla to release their map system for any device just so we can experience Valhalla outside of OSMAnd and OrganicMaps which both lack the modern rendering flare.

Seriously the only thing they change every update is a new design made up their yearly hired college interns, and another removed feature to reduce their cloud running cost.

  • Flameshot doesn't support clipboard on Wayland?

  • Didn't someone actually try making SQL as a filesystem and it ended up being something like 50 times slower than ZFS after they applied a ton of optimizations?

Not as a serious project, but more like a joke to see what would actually happen.

  • Form a new grassroots party and encourage voters to demand change in exchange for their vote.

This is a tried and true method that has succeeded in multiple countries with much worse electoral systems than the US (I can vouch for PTI in Pakistan, it took them about 20 years including 10 years of military rule)

Unfortunately, it is too radical for the folks over at c/Politics, even though it was literally what Malcolm X often suggested and what MLK did before they were both shot (albeit MLK preferred endorsing individual candidates regardless of party rather than trying to form a new one since that would be slower).

So the real answer is unfortunately to sit back, relax, and enjoy the flames.

  • This marks a reversal of Biden’s policy aimed at curbing settler violence and supporting a two-state solution.

He's gone, you don’t have to keep pandering to his fake ass policy that totally wasn't full send arms to Israel for 15 months. Blinken clocked out as well.

Not to mention we were all here when these sanctions got announced, rescinded, and then reannounced, in case it wasn't already clear a few settlers would likely never be traveling to the USA.

  • Covid 2 electric boogaloo

  • Not to discredit their achievements, but the DoD won't give them anything of value related to defense in a million years because India's primary military source and partner is Russia.

They have a mutual interest in keeping China in check, but they don't seem to want to invest in trying to flip India when they already have Pakistan.

Not to mention US arms are fricken expensive. India already had issues paying for the Rafales from France, they couldn't afford to buy overinflated US gear even with their rather large economy. Even collaboration is annoyingly hard if you aren't in NATO.

Broke Pakistan only got it by hiding OBL and making the US go on a goose chase handing out free money to search for one guy, which is why they haven't bought anything new from the US after 2011.

  • Lol I'm almost permanently shadow banned from youtube for the same reason, only rarely do my comments actually show up, and I can't even reply to my own comment. The funny thing is I made just one comment to trip their alarm, because everything else I write comments about are usually memes and YTP.

I also saw a fairly well liked reddit mod get banned by the site admins for stating Israel is an ethnostate.

  • I thought the default firewall rule for IPv6 is to block all incoming traffic? At least it is on my hardware out of box.

Public facing IPv6 doesn't means its externally reachable, its just how IPv6 works because there is no need for NATing. You can quickly test it by trying to SSH to it to make sure its not reachable. Otherwise just add a firewall rule that block all incoming IPv6.

Anyway if you want to make sure it also doesn't connect to the internet, you could just do the inverse and MAC ban outgoing traffic or put it on a VLAN.

  • India too iirc

  • Wasn't the first ever webcam just a regular camera that took shots of the office coffee pot? I'm pretty sure it was a bespoke script

I also remember the dude who made a homebrew app for his DS to control his Canon DSLR for long exposure shots because the alternative was to drag a fat laptop around or buy a $300 Canon PDA.

  • It's their second highest market after Indonesia? They dragged this out as much as possible in congress and in court because its valuable to them.

  • They’re going to stop moderating posts

That just means they'll favor the right wing content since it currently benefits them. They will continue to moderate and shadow hide whatever they don't agree with or are paid to censor.

  • I'm using XFCE with Compiz, and since I have two monitors I have a 3D octagon instead of a 3D cube desktop.

  • I wonder if they'll sell or go down in flames.

If they sell, it'll just become overly moderated like Facebook.

If they go down in flames, a bunch of overnight competitors will compete to succeed.

  • Even worse is finding a rejected pull request that would have added the exact feature you need.
