  • H.265 encoding and for your sake I hope that's not YTS's crap tier bitrate

I mean uh... Kung Fu Panda or WALL-E

  • I don't know if mac has something similar, but you can run a command on linux to list all the CPU vuln mitigations applied, and its hilarious to see on something old like a skylake or haswell with the amount of patches that have dropped since release.

  • I really don't care how much the US complains about Chinese nationalism when they pull the same crap in practically every 3rd world country for the sake of holding power.

There's a reason why so many 3rd world immigrants in the US feel unfazed by Trump because they essentially grew up in some Washington backed imperialist government which was way worse, hence the reason they emigrated.

They understand that neither country is some beacon of hope, they're just two big competitors that keep each other somewhat in check. The tradeoff you get for joining the US is freedom of expression and representation (mostly) and the tradeoff you get for joining China is faster upward momentum and social stability (mostly). Its better to have at least two choices instead of one which in reality would be none.

Yes there will always be sketchy things you probably shouldn't touch, but we're really out here defending internet censorship over TikTok as if the NSA doesn't have 2/3rd of the modern world permanently bugged.

  • I read this entire comment synced to smashmouth lmao

  • Buddy that's a Lexus. The corect way to sit in those is to put the seat low and far back than what even a bucket seat would do. You should basically be so reclined like it's one of those sofas from a shrink's office.

It'll take you a few minutes to adjust to the new ride height and gain your superiority complex over the other peasants on the road.

  • All the free widgets that used to come preinstalled in Android before Google killed them to save the extra $2 of development cost from their yearly interns.

  • Whenever the new standard hits the almost impossible golden triangle of "cheap, reliable, and fast".

It's gotta be cheaper than the alternatives, better and more reliable than the alternatives, and faster/easier to adopt than the alternatives.

Early computers for example had various ways to chug math, such as mechanical setups, relays, vacuum tube's, etc.

When Bell invented their MOSFET transistor and figured out how to scale production, all those previous methods became obsolete for computers because transistors were now cheaper, more reliable, and faster to adopt than their predecessors.

Tbf though transistors are more of a hardware thing. A better example of a standard would be RIP being superceded by BGP on the internet.

  • Pakistan whenever India opens its mouth about being the world's biggest "democracy":

  • Dear God at least give them a chance with IBM.

Oracle would use it to sue Facebook and YouTube for stealing their IP for vertical video, all while the platform combusts.

    hmmmmm....

    Actually on second thought.............

  • "How do I do X in linux?"

"Yeah so basically you just need to run this command and it should work on Ubuntu 12.10 (Last edited: Nov 2012)"

"Hey guys the way to do X changed in Ubuntu 16.04, see this updated link (Posted: Jan 2017)"

"Actually Ubuntu 18.04 is now using Y so you have to follow this new guide (Last edited: Jul 2019)"

    "Crossed-out outdated guide

For Ubuntu 22, please reference this Canonical guide here. All other distros can simply use Z (Last edited: Aug, 2022)"

    "404 not found (Canonical)"

"How do I do X in Debian?"

"You can run Z to do X (Posted: Oct 2013)"

"Thanks for this, it worked! (Posted: Sep 2023)"

"How do I do X in Fedora?"

"Ah just follow this wiki (Posted: Feb 2014)"

"How do I do X In Arch?"

  • I'm dumb, thank you

  • If it makes any of you feel any better, Rizvi also famously berrated and mocked Abdul Sattar Edhi for wasting his time making a volunteer ambulance service before he himself was transported in an Edhi ambulance where he died before reaching the hospital.

  • I was gonna make a joke about Nintendo, but I'm pretty sure they actually sued someone for publicly hosting 30 year old copies of the Nintendo Power magazine.

  • Torvalds is a C programmer who didn't even consider himself accomplished until he made Git, long after Linux.

Sebastian is a warehouse manager who still thinks he's better than everyone else because he worked at NZXT NCIX lol.

  • Most of these pictures are from NYC and DC, bar a few from London, Brussels, Panama, and the US Embassy in Mexico

I'm starting to think is community is actually a bunch of refugees from Twitter.

  • Its both because they pander to the popular, which is why anything thays actually useful, funny, or satirical gets banned on that site.

  • Probably not good advice, but the 50XX series is right around the corner (end of january, and february for <=5070ti), which Nvidia did advertise big increases for AI workflows. Whether or not they actually are, and whether or not you will actually be able to buy one is another question lol.

Good chance 40xx series will drop in value right after though, so I would wait until the end of the month and see at least.

I'm still out here using tensorflow on my server with a 750ti lmao.

  • Google maps couldn't navigate its way out of a straight road with the shit tier routing algorithm they haven't updated for a decade.

I've seen GPS devices from as far back as 2005 that can run circles around this absolute junk software, including the touchscreen UX,

I hate this thing so much that I would pay to have Tesla to release their map system for any device just so we can experience Valhalla outside of OSMAnd and OrganicMaps which both lack the modern rendering flare.

Seriously the only thing they change every update is a new design made up their yearly hired college interns, and another removed feature to reduce their cloud running cost.
