Also most racism is really a class issue. As in the upper class control and steal from the lower class and blame the other for the hardship the upper class caused. When your no longer havsa body or comporeal needs. All that stuff goes away.

I want Nana to get all the pay she can. But please keep your hands off DS9, Kurtzman. A joke episode or two on lower decks is one thing. But DS9 ended perfectly and doesn't need a picard like memberberries train wreck and yes I know any new series can't ruin the old series if you just ignore it. But i would rather not waste our time.

Yeah a shell account is a standard term for getting a terminal access in a shared system going all the way back to mainframes.

Most universities at least in the US had a thing called a Sunsite that came with shell access sometimes.

I agree on GoG, buying physical only gets you the broken unpatched game they shipped. Steam i feel okay with since they are a private company and not all their games are DRMed and it's clearly marked if they are.

It's more the trend of i have seen in the tech space of a deal too good to be true. A tech company taking a loss to gain marketshare and drive out competition on price or flat out buy them then when they have cornered the market drive up the price for insane profits and customers have no choice because you effectively become the platform.

Yeah I agree with you on thinking of it as a new game fly. The problem I have is MS's plan is to make gamers comfortable with only renting games by making it cheap then when there is no other option. They jack up the price.

More i say hi they say hi we talk about a topic then they go away. Like where you talk to an anonymous screen name an don't know anything about the person behind it. You enjoy the conversation much like how I enjoy talking with everyone on lemmy but that connection doesn't turn into a connection where im added to an invite list at that person's wedding or graduation. Like you would with a friend group.

Yeah i do that mainly with the tildeverse IRC channels and while fun to have a quick chat with a stranger it seems for me those interactions never cross the gap to become a genuine connection beyond talking in IRC or Discord.

Thanks dude, i will im used to the overtly hostile people. It's the people that don't even realize they do it that kills me. Because that's not them being assholes that's the systematic bias built by our society as a whole.
