This is cool that Jeff did anything at all but it would go a long way if he used his main channel with a larger reach.

Yeah it's my biggest gripe. Communities should be blended like how the federation worked on IRC. We would all be connecting through different servers in that network but channel #comicsbooks would bring us to the same room to chat in. It should be the same for lemmy.

I would be shocked if Fedora went through with it. If anyone remembers canonical tried to do this with you one to some years ago. They backed down then after push back as well.

Yep i honestly think that's why the steam deck is not available in retell in the US. MICROSOFT probably has a clause in place that would remove any license discounts from the big OEMs if their machines are stocked with Linux machines.

I know my wife sells glass art but really only doesn't it to make room and break even on materials. So it may be allot more work to make a profit at it.

Ah that makes sense i know Brazil has laws to keep imports low. That's why Brazil kept the saga mega drive active for so long. So having Linux on machines makes sense. Since it's both an import and not an import at the same time.

It just goes to show you. The only way to get the Linux desktop market share up is not building. Something better than Windows we have been there for a while. It's make hardware, put Linux on that hardware and sell it in a store. Avg people don't change operating systems. They change computers. Now if we could just get steam decks in retail stores. It would be a huge.

Yep that's why they fucked over Bernie so hard. He was what we always wanted in a progressive president. But since the rich area playing both size and acting like they different the DNC sabotaged him twice and now we see the result.

I honestly don't think progressive politics is the problem. When it comes to the US. The only other party is the democrats and at best they are center at best but really they are just Republicans from 20 years ago. From a fiscal sense.

Both times they sold the American people to pick them just because the other side is worse. The problem is most people don't want to pick the lesser of two evils. They want to pick something that will change their lives for the better.

The problem is when Democrats don't really have a platform or communicate that platform effectively. But the other guy is saying he will fix the problems in people's lives even if they are lies. Most low information voters will roll the dice on the chance he is not lying. Because the other side has brought nothing to the table at all.

The logic i have seen with a man like that broke my heart was this. He said i care about the plate of Trans folks and other minorities but like on an airplane you have to put on your own mask on first before you help others. So when you are out of work or can't afford to live. The culture wars feels like less a priority for those type of people.

When looking with that lense it makes sense how people voted. People with higher education and income voted Dem becase they wanted to help others.

People with lower income voted Republican out of desperation and was easy for Republicans to sell the snake oil of. If we hurt these small group of people. All your problems will be solved. Then those same people are hurt more when they find out it was all a lie.

Read up on history and how Germany was after World War I. It's like having a crystal ball of what's going to happen next.

Do you have steam open at all. You may have shaders compiling outside of game.

The answer should be use signal that has been configured in a hardened way. Everything else can't be trusted. Hell even with signal if it's really sensitive Encode with pgp using their public key then send through signal then they decode using their private key.

Yeah I will agree on that maybe bittersweet is a better word. But over all a very good ending to the story they wanted to tell.
