Not at all. Chinese manufacters like honor, huawei have been ahead of samsung for much longer. Be it fast charging, new battery tech, better cooling system, better camera hardware, etc.

If not for sactions huawei was easily No.2 and perhaps even No.1 above apple.

It is entirely impossible that Samsung, the second largest technology company in the world and the most advanced consumer electronics manufacturer, seated in South Korea, is beaten by a Chinese company.

Its large only in size. There has not been any meaningful innovation in samsung at all. Even though they were one 1st to bring foldables it has hardly seen any new development. Mi mix flip, Honor magic V3 are proof of that.

Even their charging speeds are leaps and bounds faster than anything samsung. This misconception about large companies being impossible to beat has fallen many times over. Just look at Nokia, Blackberry as examples.

People don't want foldables as thick as two full phones. Both sides of the foldable need to be thinner than any part of normal phone thickness, and phones these days are already incredibly thin.

Honor magic V3 has a larger battery while still being 24% thinner than the fold 6. Granted its using new battery tech. Still, samsung should do something or be outpaced by others.

Personally, I don't get why they're selling these super thin foldables if they can't make a battery that supports them for very long.

Can't speak about past charging ports of HMD. But, this one has user replaceable type C USB port. So, that should not be a big concern.

The article is talking about the Mi mix flip with its 4780mah battery compared to 4400mah of z fold 4,5,6.

Also the Honor v3 with 5150mah of new battery tech while being 24% thinner compared to z fold 6.

This one has 3 cameras. 1 108MP main camera, 13MP ultra wide, 50MP 2x telephoto. The battery is small at 4600mah but supports 15w qi2 magnetic wireless charging and slow 33w wired charging. Display supports 144hz refresh rate.

Snapdragon 7s gen 2 may not be fast alongside the 33w charging. But, repairability takes front seat here with gen 2 repairability. Plus, unlike most smartphones actually supports an sdcard. Unfortunately, updates take a back seat with 3 years max.

IMO a good repairable smartphone with some compromises mainly the processor and the software update support.

Newer smartphones are supported anywhere from 6-7. Fairphone being supported even higher. Unless, you are saying that's not enough in that case custom roms are your 2nd option after official support.

You are confused. That article is talking about snapdragon 7 gen 3 on Nord CE 4. I'm talking about Nord 4 which runs on 7+gen3. Which is nearly twice as fast as regular 7 gen 3 which is a midrange Soc.

7+ gen 3 is superior to both. Dimensity 8300 ultra is superior to 8200 ultra and Dimensity 9200+ is superior to dimensity 8300 and lower.

You were probably thinking about 7+gen 2.

If we are talking about cheap. Dimensity 8300 ultra would've been cheaper. But, I guess oneplus wanted the snapdragon name to woo consumers.

I think you meant charger? In any case. This phone supports 100w of fast charging. Unless, you specifically have supervooc chargers with 100w or higher speeds of charging. Any other charger will not support super fast charging.
