  • Mullvad compared to PIA, Google annoys me less with recaptures. I know it doesn't answer your question but thought I'd throw my 2 cents in since PIA was quite a popular choice with their YouTube sponsor slots and cheap prices

  • Let's not live in the past. Just disable internet searching from the start menu.

I agree, it shouldn't have been built in and on by default and it should be easier to disable.

Personally I think Win10 start was peak Windows start because it was the most customizable.

  • Not a mod tool, but since I've found you. Is there a way to hide post points on user devices from being shown to the user? If not, feature request please.

Depending on my mood, I sometimes do not want to see the points my posts have received. And likewise, sometimes I don't want to see the points others have received either.

  • I think it's too early to comment on the user numbers increasing/decreasing. Let's see what it looks like in 6-12 months time.

I've seen a few posts complaining about Lemmy on Lemmy and Reddit. It's generally the same complaints; so these should be addressed.

  • Is it better than Bing-GPT search?

It feels like for the most part, Bing just parses your query for keywords and performs a search with them. Then it parses the first page and spits out the result. On the surface it looks like a regular web search I would do myself.

  • It feels like it has a similar stance to what BeMe had but is somewhat successful. Less about you attempting to look perfect and more about every day life. The BeMe idea was to set your camera to record, hold it to your chest to record what ever you were looking at, and before you knew it the video was uploaded to the servers.

  • I think i commented on the wrong comment. Jaja.

But I agree with your comment here and the one I commented on originally.

In my eyes, Reddit vs Lemmy. 1 data controller and many data scrapers vs many data controllers and some data scrapers. Data will always be harvested, and data will always be sold/shared with third parties.
