Theoretically. I doubt he would. Still, even in that case he has to make a significant time investment. I could reasonably be called an expert in my chosen field but I'd still be justifiably angry with you if you intentionally made me use the skills I've learned in my field under threat of financial or other legal repercussions.

Sure, but you shouldn't have to. Your response makes it sound like the person who appears to be getting money stolen from them is acting unreasonably when they are most certainly not the party acting that way.

I don't think anyone can do anything without fear of prosecution anymore. That's a big part of this administrations strategy. Merit of a lawsuit has no bearing on the situation if it costs you hundreds of thousands of dollars to prove your innocence.

In a similar vein, I once cut off my nose and my eyelids because I knew that my ex wife would get very uncomfortable anytime she looked at my disfigured face. It's more painful for me than it is her but I'm a petty idiot who doesn't understand consequences so I still think it was worth it.

Go back in time and release the list during the 4 years that Biden was in charge of the DOJ. They had their chance to be open about this case and they did functionally the same shit Trump is doing here.

I understand your point but guns are a great equalizer for anyone who isn't a young, strong male. Gun vs gun is more equal than fist vs fist or whatever else would be happening instead.

I wish I shared your optimism. Nothing in my experience of life tells me that betting on the left, especially their elected representatives, to not do something stupid is a good plan.

We're still accelerating towards the cliff. Mitigation starts with taking our collective foot off the gas, both literally and metaphorically, but that is so far out of the realm of possibility that we might as well be talking about actual magic.

You're not wrong but everyone seems to think that's someone else's job. We're not going to see actual change until people like you and I start fixing pipes ourselves.

The logic is "I hate my job so you have to hate whatever you spend most of your time doing too". It makes sense if you think life is supposed to be hard but it seems like the obvious solution is to make life easier for everyone rather than harder for those who have trouble participating in our dumb economic system.
