Money to get to and bring material back from the asteroid. Japan just recently had success landing a mock mining asset onto an asteroid, so the tech is there for nearby asteroids, at least. Now it's really just logistics because getting to the Kaiper Belt is a bit more expensive.
I mean, it's all news concerning technology, or tech companies. Did you expect there to just be constant posts about new tech or improvements to existing tech? Because that shit doesn't happen every day.
I don't prescribe to the notion a lot of comments here have that "enshittification" has just one, specific meaning. Something that wasn't shit before but is slowly turning to shit--for any reason--fits the bill.
Whether you planned to rope customers in with the promise of something free or simple only to turn that around once you reach a certain saturation, or you just stop giving a fuck about quality because it's hurting your bottom line, the process of fucking up your product to make more money is still enshittification and it seems there nothing safe from this as long as capitalism rules.
Was it actually officially announced or was it just that they said they would definitely be making a 6th elder scrolls game eventually? At this point I don't even remember, though I vaguely recall a stupid teaser of flying over a forest with a title screen, but I might just be thinking of Skyrim's announcement teaser.
I also recall them saying they wouldn't even really start real work on a new Elder Scrolls game until after Starfield shipped. So if that was true, they only have actually worked on the game maybe a year or two.
Expectations are going to be unattainable by the time the game actually comes out.

The other part of it is that you can have an account on Lemmy.World and still see and post to other instances on Lemmy. Like, I'm on Yiffit.net seeing this post and making this comment to Lemmy.World without having to log into my Lemmy.World account.
I don't know how many, if any, other federated/activitypub things are integrated with Lemmy. They could be, supposedly, but it has to be programmed into the thing you're using. It doesn't just connect up automatically just because it uses the same underlying bedrock. Example: BlueSky is supposed to be a federated product, but it doesn't integrate into other fediverse things AFAIK.
Science must make some scientists go insane when they can see something, know some of its properties and such, but you can't empirically measure it or really prove it exists.
