Right tool for the right job. Like I use VSCode for PowerShell on AWS Windows boxes over SSH, works great. But for Python or Terraform, JetBrains Suite is just better in everyway.
I can count on one hand the amount of times I've broken either of my Ubuntu desktops. And I'd say 80% of the time, it was my fault. For everything else, there is BTRFS and TimeShift .
I definitely get the small town feel. Like I regularly run into the same users, even from different instances.
No one here tries to be a jerk, at least from what I've seen. And when you create content, people actually look and care.
Running Ubuntu w Mate desktop on laptop and PC.
Debian for servers. I need all my weird devices to just work and Ubuntu has the best compatibility. PopOS seems nice, but if I run Mate for me DE, it doesn't really matter, AFAIK.
Micro for quick CLI edits.
VSCode for mashing text and PowerShell
JetBrains Suite for everything else.
LazyGit is amazing BTW. Pairs well with LazyDocker.
