  • bit late to this, but trickle doesn't work because heroic spawns new downloader processes unaffected by trickle's limits

  • heroic has no download throttling, very annoying for shared/shitty networks and large games

  • I got a PS Vita a while back and it's a fun device, especially set up for homebrew, but it's super uncomfortable to use for more than a few minutes at a time

Little inputs all over it and nothing to hold on to, I had to get a controller shaped thing to clip it into just to stop my hands cramping up, the bigger devices like the steam deck are a lot more comfortable in comparison

  • sugar snap peas go crazy, and they're very filling too

  • Hey, glad you want to be a considerate, conscientious vegan! You won't upset anyone as long as you follow these simple rules:

    1. Never admit that you are vegan
    2. Never talk about veganism
    3. When people are talking about meat, eagerly participate
    4. Do not eat visibly vegan food in public
    5. If offered meat or cheese, eat it without protest
    6. Do not cook vegan food if serving others
    7. When you see a cow, remark out loud how you want to eat it

That's about all you need to know to be one of the Good Vegans. Hope this helps!

  • the thing about souls games is that people on the internet insist that the only REAL way to play them is through extra difficult self-imposed challenge runs (summons? resin? pyromancy? you didn't beat the game)

ignore that and you can temper the difficulty down a lot, though you'll likely still need a good amount of patience and perseverance, especially if it's your first time playing

  • A t420, but yes

It's not my main machine but it is my only laptop, and sticking an extra 8gb of ram and an ssd in it was all it needed to become very responsive even for modern software. Unless you're playing video games or doing some heavyweight media editing projects, those older CPUs and GPUs can cope better than one might expect

  • It wants to be feature rich, configurable, and flexible

GNOME already has the Apple "we know better than you so it's our way or the highway" design strategy down to an art

  • Be the most versatile and usable DE with the best applications

Also works on my machine (14 year old thinkpad)

  • Counterpoint: KDE is literally the best to ever do it and none even compare

  • Am I not reading your question right? Just quote the variable and filenames with spaces work fine.

    for i in *; do
        cat "$i" ;
    done
