I wonder if that will be at all improved with the new model coming out? I do like that Kobo doesn't have ads on its home screen, as well; I'd probably be willing to put up with less optimal performance if that stays the case. Anyway, thank you for the response! It's definitely given me stuff to consider before buying an e reader myself
Sorry, I haven't made the jump into an e reader of my own yet, so I may be missing something, but could the same not be said for phones and B&W e readers? Phones can basically do everything an e reader can on its face, but there's still a niche to be filled by e readers, so I'm not sure lack of demand would exactly be the problem?
Too bad Starfield wasn't that, either, and Fallout 4 as well as 76 before it. Elder Scrolls 6 is gonna be a shitshow unless something drastic changes for the better at Bethesda. I don't see that happening, though, since they've been busy since their last release trying to convince everyone that didn't like Starfield that they've just been playing the game wrong.
Not so much "came to terms" with it as much as "this dumb motherfucker is the only way we escape Trump. I hate him and his policies but I'll vote for him I fucking guess." Just like where we are now, but now many are even more pissed because it was already supposed to be just one term of a lesser evil before we'd have new options. Now goal posts are being moved and we all have to do it AGAIN for an asshole like Joe Biden who does not deserve it.
You must live in a state where charter schools aren't part of normal political discourse. It is happening, and it is what they're striving for. They want the private schools, yes, but the mostly want unregulated for-profit religious charter schools where there is no oversight in what kids are taught (or if they're taught)
It's not logic, and trying to argue with them will never work. It's disdain for and a desire to control women, period. Conservatism is about hierarchy, and people having their proper place in it. These laws and outlooks are about trying to keep women in their place in the hierarchy. The same can be said about laws against LGBTQ people.
Oh please, do get off your high horse. My entire family is poor as shit and everyone is struggling. Also, "upper", "middle", "lower", all just words meant to divide this working class you disavow against itself against the capitalist class.
If you work to earn your living instead of letting your investments do it for you, you're working class.
Seriously. Just an example off the top of my head: people stop being counted as unemployed if they've been unemployed for long enough. That's just one way they manipulate the numbers for whatever narrative they're trying to spin.
I like mispronouncing the Koch brother's name as the Cock brothers. It's petty and doesn't mean much, but it makes me feel good. I have no other power against those fucks.
