  • Nothing can happen using Decky Loader and you don't have to load the bleeding edge plugins if you don't want to. It all up to you which plugins you use. It's one of the most useful tools for the Deck. The plugins you use could be really basic, like helping you change icons on the games, reach menu for Bluetooth without going into settings, getting HowLongToBeat stats on your game info, etc. It's all very handy and extremely easy to set up. YouTube is your friend on this one.

You should also check out CryoUtilities. It's not going to be for you if you don't wanna use third party apps right now. But at least check out his youtube video explaining the tool anyway. You will find it interesting and learn quite a lot even of you don't install the software.

  • No Man's Sky is really turning out to be an awesome game.

  • Yeah we need to become better to calm ourselves on new game releases and ask ourselves if it's for me. Hype only serves publishers, hence they are so good at creating it.

  • They are both third person games where you kill stuff! But about as similar as Mario and Kirby, also both made by the same developer :)

  • Sounds good. My gaming pc needed a complete blowout anyway so I'm trying to convert to Linux as we speak. A lot to learn. But it feels manageable and not as overwhelming anymore.

  • I haven't tried. That's not for me. I'd rather just buy the game or pirate it. Both are much easier.

  • Doesn't really work if I've had a subscription before, or used said free month some time in the past.

Only issue here is to flag it's on Twitch Prime so everyone has the right expectation.

  • The WiiU tablet wasnt very portable. Once you left the room where your WiiU Base was plugged into a TV it started acting up. You basically had to be in the same room but not he allowed to use the TV. I'm afraid that type of technology probably hasn't moved forward fast enough to try anything else but wifi. It's a sad day.

At least you can use these as a more expensive controller as well, right? To play with your friends on the tv. Surely? Right?

  • 273!? Oh crap. I didn't even realise pricing will be off for us in europe. I'd be surprised if they sold more than 1000 units to Sweden.

  • Quite the jump from 199 but add another 140 dollars and you get a machine that handles Ps5 remote play, emulation, playing games locally and streaming from your PC. Sure the screen is worse but a Steam Deck is so much more value for money. This seems like a small return for quite a lot of money.

Edit: I forgot about Game Pass. Beep.

  • Didn't even occur to me it could be an actual limitation. Thanks for clarifying.

  • I would suggest to add a third button with the text "Browse" instead of a 3dot dropdown. Would be lovely.

  • So paying someone to do something doesnt give you any credit? How does companies work then. Please don't credit any company for anything, they just paid people who put in the work? Who are you kidding?

  • Looks super interesting! I read the inspiration but is it a survival game at its core? Possible to play creative like Minecraft? Thanks in advance! Hope to have the time to try it down the road!

  • What are those? Just trying to dip my toes and understand small bits and taking it slow. Thanks in advance.

  • I'm as new on Linux as one can get. Installed Nobara a week ago on my laptop. Steam Deck got me to wanna try Linux on my PCs. Claims to install a lot of what I would need in its package. Seems to work so far. Not based on Debian tho.

  • Texting from the inside. See you soon. I'll get you a burner from Buba.

  • Is is awesome! Add a portable monitor with internal battery and you have yourself quite the portable setup! :)
