Do you see any benefits in using ZeroTier for game streaming compared to Moonlight/Sunshine? I'm mainly doing this while at home so I don't have to hide away in my corner to play games.
Any notablie differences between Nvidia vs. AMD based GPUs? I've read that Nvidia cards can struggle on Linux with certain software. If there aren't any notable problems I will probably try Linux everywhere.
I remember buying my first hard drive for 2000 sek which is arround 180 dollars. So that's actually more expensive than 1tb today. That was more than 20 years ago but I only got 20gb worth of space. A few years later and we should arrive at the 20 years-ago-mark which made me write 50. I def wouldn't say most people had 200gb hard drives 20 years ago. If they did no one could complain 20 years later if BG3 would still fit on that drive.
Requires even more work and even more budget. I understand the problem but it has always been there. There are people now who can't afford 1tb and there were people 20 years ago who couldn't afford 50gb when that was the equivalent. This won't ever go away. And it's fault by consumers who expect bigger and better things for less and less money. You can only optimize so much on your budget. I still understand this is a problem it's just not one that will get solved anytime soon, which is a shame.
Is this what I think it is? I can sit at my laptop and play games that run on my gaming pc? And it works with Linux host and client? With great performance?
You get used to having a long drive to work as well. But who wants to get used to that if you don't have to. Same reasoning applies here. SteamOS is so, so good. Why would I want to switch to something with performance leaks? To play competitive FPS games on my handheld? That's not why I have one (plus I could get windows on an external sd if I really wanted to).
I'm close to making a full on swap from windows to Linux. I just need to research in home game streaming first since I often sit on my laptop downstairs playing a game that runs on my gaming pc through Parsec.
Yeah I agree. Creating a problem and taking "donations" to solve it is a bit sketchy especially when the instances themselves could use that funding. And when the whole idea of the platform is the other direction.
You could just actually see it below the comment as well. Like on a post, but only shows if you upvoted or downvoted. It won't take up much extra space.
People have to justify paying premium money for a beta in every way they can. Imagine Boost releases and is better in every way, and people have spent upwards of 120 dollars on Sync. I don't understand the rush.
Edit: Just out of curiosity, you running Voyager or smth else?
