But thoughts aren't criminal and if they manage to control their attraction in a way that hurts no-one (like this ai-generated stuff or the child-sex-dolls or other things that are very creepy to almost everyone else) then they should totally be normal members of society
I'm not saying that they should be proud of it and see it as something normal - it's definitely a psychological issue - but denying them stuff that helps them satisfy their urges without hurting anyone should be a good step to help them face their sexuality instead of suppressing them
I think it should totally be possible to access things like it but it should also be necessary to link to a helpline like the one you mentioned (Germany has something like that) similar to how a helpline for suicide is necessary if someone mentions that subject
No one chooses to be a pedophile - as far as we know it's just the unluckiest possible sexual attraction.
Stigmatizing it won't help anyone - those people need help and everything that doesn't hurt real children until they get themselves that psychological help is good in my book
One of the biggest German meat production companies started introducing vegetarian and vegan products 10 years ago - last year they made more profit from then than from their meat branch and are remodelling meat-processing factories for replacements - it's just like everywhere - if you don't lead or follow the change you'll have to try to stop change itself
The shitty thing is that this culture war against replacements is also majorly fucking up our chances to combat climate change as a change away from the meat-heavy diet most people have on a population level would be one of the most effective changes we could make as a society to give us a better chance...
Also to add to that: a lot of the European carmakers also fought governments hard to give them more time with their fossil fuel cars and not to push/benefit EV as much as they wanted
Then Tesla came along and suddenly they had a lot of catch-up to do when they realised that people actually wanted those cars and now they are the ones behind the market since they slept to long
In Germany there's a saying: "Wer nicht mit der Zeit geht der geht mit der Zeit" - basically: "If you're not moving with the changes they will force you out eventually"
Yeah this won't stop a single accident - and it will probably not result in more money for the kids, too since many people won't be able to pay from prison
Not to mention that building new plants can take a decade and costs a fortune - if you invest that money into renewables and power storages you have working power much faster.
Also OPs graphic is a real problem but it only goes until last year where we just got rid of Merkel. Her party was actively working on making it as hard as possible to work wind turbines while investing into gas from russia so with the new government the speed should finally pick up again
Of course shutting down existing nuclear reactors is a bad idea (which also happened because of Merkel) but that decision was made so long ago that the companies running those plants prepared for them to shut down for a decade and have stopped hiring people, the ones working there are on retirement contracts and they didn't invest into future proofing the plants anymore so they were kind of falling apart
Also every other phone is priced at the point of you buying a new device in 3 years anyway because the battery is glued in while the FP should have a far longer lifecycle
Even if 1 billionaire is polluting as much as 1000 average people - cutting the consumption of everyone in half is doing far more towards a better climate than reducing the pollution of those to 0.
Sure it's a thing that needs to happen to get everyone on board - but stop pointing with fingers since without personal change the politicians won't change a thing as cutting meat by law will make them lose their office immediately unless a decent chunk of the population already went that route voluntarily
So if you have a collection with political targets and the folder is just google maps links to their houses with their names as the bookmark name google shouldn't be allowed to stop you from spreading this?
Sure google is shitty but this feature is designed to share links with other people and sometimes those links can be dangerous so imho it's absolutely necessary to moderate them at some level.
It's also showing those children that it's not bad if you're not wearing that kind of clothing.
If they want to use them as a cultural choice when they are adults that's fine - the problem is if they never new anything else as the default.
Putting a bird that knew freedom back in a cage is harder than keeping one caged all their life. It just makes it easier for those children to break out of their patriarchal structures
The only thing annoying with BG3 is that "sell all wares" only refers to those at the current character
I'd have liked it if stuff marked as wares would always be automatically distributed between the characters (or that there was a button to do this)
Also why can I select multiple items at once and move them between characters but not mark multiple items as wares?
Why can't I save that every cup I pick up should go to wares automatically?
I feel as if BG3 could've made the whole carrying thing far less annoying with ways to do less inventory management
