  • It is a monopoly - they just don't abuse it as much against their audience.

For developers it's either take their 30% deal or just don't sell your game because a lot of people only use steam.

Not even Cyberpunk or the Witcher could sell more on gog than on steam even though you knew that there the developers got 100% of the money spent. Gwent standalone flopped so hard on GOG that it had to be rereleased with limited features on steam and sold more there

People are just fundamentally lazy so it totally is a problem that you have one store with such a massive market share even if it's very convenient for the end-user they can completely exploit their position against publishers.

Sure EPICs way of making games exclusive to their store is not elegant but without that no-one would choose that store over steam

  • Left leaving people believe that every human is worth the same - right leaning people draw lines and exclude people from that equal group.

The more often they draw the line against a part of the population most people aren't part of the more likely is it that they manage to convince one of those that it's actually worth it for them to agree with those divisions

  • Someone who thought that a country with a very low level of debt should not invest money in a time where you actually got money back for taking a credit

Their "debts are evil" stance for 15 years are extremely stupid - even more than the crippling of the roadblocks they put up for renewable

And now people are putting the blame on the current government that had to sweep out all the dust...

  • Not to mention how long it takes to find good spots since noone wants to have one in their backyard and even if you have a spot it takes almost a decade to build m

Also you need to guarantee cooling which is going to be a bigger and bigger problem in the coming years...

So much better than spending a fraction of the money to build renewables much faster with less risk...

  • Hydrogen doesn't exist randomly in a well or something it has to be created by using electricity - and that transformation is very inefficient if you then use the hydrogen in an inefficient way to power an engine instead of just using the electricity directly

That argument that energy is coal-heavy actually counts against hydrogen...

Hydrogen powered stuff only makes sense when electric isn't an option like for planes that just can't carry heavy batteries

  • I mean with Streaming Services cutting down the Password-Sharing so that you need to pay multiple expensive services to get access and it's not convenient anymore with having to switch between them to find something to watch I'm not surprised that a piracy-heavy social network is thriving...

  • For the 2nd point:

Mixing it doesn't reduce it to 1fa - it still makes your accounts immune to Passwort leaks and common attacks

You are only at a 1FA level if someone hacked your PW-Manager but in that instance you're most likely fucked anyway

Sure for the most important accounts having 2FA in another app is good so you can at least secure those if the PW-Safe leaked but I have 2FA on every single website I use(d) that offers it - even if I'm only on there once a year so using a special app is less important than just having the additional security in the first place

  • and that's contradicting my point how?

In Germany the ticket is only for regional trains - if you want to go from Berlin to Munich you'll have to pay money to get there in 4 hours or spend the whole day travelling in 12+ hours

how would that be an alternative to interrail?

  • Having public transport available without having to worry about buying a ticket just because of the subscription you already have anyway is far better than interrail

This ticket is not for long distance travel but for shorter distances - it will be an extension to interrail and not a replacement

  • And the German government in charge of the ticket already voiced their interest in making both tickets compatible so that people can use the traffic in either country with the ticket of the other one

Could lead to a pseudo-standard that could result in an eu-wide ticket of such type in the long run

  • An inventory management button that would automatically distribute wares to the character with the least carried stuff would already hope a lot - especially if we would be able to save that every cup, fork, etc would automatically be marked as wares and if there was a way to mark multiple things as wares at the same time (and if " sell all wares" would sell everything from all inventories present and not just for the talking character)

Selling wares remotely that are in camp and having an option to automatically send everything marked as wares to camp would also help a lot

I feel as if BG3 could do a lot more with the "wares" marker to make the weight limit less annoying

Moving cups and plates from one char to another just isn't fun
