  • Depending on where you’re at in life, gyms with machines can be really useful. It forces certain muscles to activate and if you’ve lived a sedentary lifestyle, it’s very useful.

Otherwise, yeah. The only thing you need is body weight and a set of dumb bells.

After that gets meh, get a squat rack/ bench press combo as well and you’re set

  • Shit happens. I’m not saying this person is right to do what they did, but I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt that this was a mistake.

You need to run awareness campaigns when you put in new traffic signals and enforce them so people know how they work.

There are so many steps before going “fuck this guy” just on one interaction:

    1. Enforcement: make sure they know there’s a consequence
    2. Public transport: Give people who can’t drive worth a shit an alternative
    3. Engineered check: Raise a physical barrier to prevent cars from taking this position or prevent cars from using the intersection altogether. Or, grade separate cars and other modes of transportation

The goal is safety and not just to shit on someone. It really could just be a mistake. We all make them. Nobody died this time. Make people aware so people don’t die next time.

  • Seriously? Maybe they were from out of town and cross rides aren’t a thing where they are from. At least in the US, you are not required to take a written test to drive in another state.

Also, new traffic patterns are being introduced all the time. Perhaps cross rides weren’t a thing when they took their written or driving test.

In a world where you need to continually prove your knowledge of a given area to drive there, I would agree with you. But this is not that world.

  • This is why as much as I like to drive my car fast, we need to reduce speed limits, get rid of left on red/right on red situations, and reduce the number of lanes to force alternatives. Not everyone wants to drive or is able to drive safely. Don’t force them to drive. Give them public transport

  • Yes, maybe they didn’t know cross rides were a thing, were fatigued and forgot, etc.

Give them a chance to not be an asshole first.

It does suck that you ur local cops don’t do their job. People won’t be aware or conscious that they’re fucking up unless they’re made aware of it. Hell, there are people that don’t care unless they suffer a personal consequence….

  • I’m well aware of white terror age, and the 228 incident. Im giving you an abridged version.

There is a reason most of the current generation rejects both the CCP and the KMT. It’s not a brainwashing.

Have you ever been to either country? I can’t figure out your spin.

  • Tools? First of all, Taiwan is historically 中華民國 (ROC).China is now 中華人民共和國 (PRC). The area known as Mainland China, or the area currently operated by the PRC was under the control of ROC. In fact, it was during a civil war between the two sides that Japan invaded during WW2.

The current government of what is now known as China was being thrashed and the ROC almost quashed the rebellion. However, they put their differences aside to squash the Japanese government. The ROC suffered heavy losses to repel the Japanese.

The PRC separatists took this opportunity to gain ground and pushed the ROC to the island of Taiwan.

The current generation of Taiwanese are historically and culturally separated from the Chinese. The Taiwanese are happy to at least maintain the status quo of two separate entities, with only some from older generations looking to retake mainland China.

Mainland China insists to takeover the island of Taiwan, by force if necessary.

What do you mean Taiwan was a created tool? Learn your fucking history dude
