  • I was in the US Air Force and stationed in England. In the military you use your social security number (SSN) for pretty much everything. There was a girl I worked with whose SSN shared the same first 8 digits as mine. Turns out we were born in the same hospital a few hours apart, but never met until we were in our 20s in a foreign country.

For non-Americans, the first 3 numbers are assigned by the geographical region. Then the next 2 numbers are a smaller grouping inside of that area. So, two people born in the same small geographic area have a good chance of having the same first 5 digits the same. In my case it was the first 8 that were the same. They are only 9 digits long.

  • I was 19 when that movie came out. I'm so glad I never knew about one or I would have definitely gone and probably ended up with some life long scar. Luckily at 19, I was only stupid enough to pierce my nipples, and not take care of them properly, so the only life long scar I got was permanently hard looking nipples (I'm male BTW, so no padded bras to help me hide them.)

  • My wife is not very spatial, but enjoyed playing coop Portal 2, for a little bit. Once we got to the stage where I was just telling her where to go or stand the entire time we stopped playing together.

  • My AC went out in August in Texas. I opened a line of credit through the HVAC company, which was ultimately through Wells Fargo.

When I got the first bill I set it up for auto pay through my checking account and let it pay the same amount over 18 months.

Well about 12 months later I'm trying to buy a new house and just as I'm about to close I get a note from the bank they were going to deny my loan because I failed to pay a bill to Wells Fargo for 9 months.

I called them to figure out what the hell was going on. My bill was due on the 15th of every month. My auto pay was set to pay on the 15th. One week the 15th was a Sunday, so my bank sent the payment on the 13th. They processed that like an extra payment under the same period and for the next 9 months considered every payment I had as late.

I tell them to fix it, and they say they can but it will take 2-3 weeks to process. I'm supposed to close on a house the next morning. They tell me if I just make a payment of $279 right then they could clear it so I could close on my house. I seriously felt like I was being shaken down and there wasn't anything I could do other than pay them. So fuck Wells Fargo!

  • The best thing I found is a product called SSSCAT. It is basically canned air with a motion sensor on it. When your cat gets near it, it lets out a small burst of air. I bought one a few years ago to keep our cat away from the Christmas tree.

Now if there is something I want to keep the cat away from, I just place it there for a few days. After that she'll tend to leave it alone for a long while. She is obsessed with chewing on cords, so I just move it around the house anywhere there are cords she can get to. 90% of the time I don't even need to turn it on. Just seeing the can keeps her away.

  • An American Tale is the first movie I remember watching in the movie theater. And I feel in love with it. But I don't think I've watched that movie in over 30 years. My kids and I will 100% be watching that this weekend.

  • Sebastian Jankowski was an NFL kicker listed at 6'1" and 260 lbs. While not much taller than average he was 65 lbs heavier.

Also while there have been a handful of 5'6" or under NFL players, I love the fact that the Eagles have had two of them in the last 5 years. Darren Sproles and Boston Scott.

  • When I was in the final mission of chapter 6, on my first playthrough, my wife came in to tell me it was time to put the kids to bed. She took one look at my face and the tears rolling down it and put the kids to bed without me.
