It's a feature of the Voyager app, a type of user "tags" that adds the number of times you've upvoted someone next to their username, like so

I'm 100% certain that people who actually use trucks for their intended purpose were not the target demographic -- it was rich kids who wanted a cool tech toy, while also playing dressup with the "labourer" aesthetic.

We should start turning up the heat in the other pots too, so there are fewer alternative "pots" to jump in to.

A powerful point. It's easy to think you're just a passive consumer, when really your posts, comments, likes, attention, or even just unintentional algorithm tuning -- are all adding value to the platform.

Tbh I think I'm done with all large, commercial social medias. I'd rather invest my time here, on the fedi, where it's all about us.

Been here over a year, and yeah this is the place to be now. I love that if I disagree with how an admin runs their instance then I can just fuck off to an entirely different server, or even start my own.

Oh that is a good point actually. It's been a while since I have done any serious Python, so I'm not sure why you couldn't just use convention instead of this conditional.

For my part, if a Python script is meant to be executed, then I'll give it a shebang, drop the .py, and simply mark it as executable in the filesystem. 🤷‍♂️

There is also this other type of nt person-- the kind who has got the Debate Brain. They're rhetorically inclined, if you know know I mean.

They will listen to your entire account and then locate the one word which, if misconstrued, would spin the meaning of your account to the most uncharitable interpretation possible. They will focus on that ONE word, ignoring all of the surrounding context as just… be such a bother.

I believe these people are either deeply hurt or some pathetic form of social vampire.
